Brishka Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 (edited) The US state of California is projected to pass Germany to register the world's 4th-biggest economy. Which one is bigger and more impactful overall? Edited December 26, 2022 by Brishka
-brian Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 California is bigger and more impactful overall globally and historically.
Pheromosa Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Cali because Germany should have never been this close to begin with. sad!
LadyDiana Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Had no idea Cali was that rich. Well Gerta should work harder!
wastedpotential Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 California has the same GDP with half the population so Cali > Of course California has the rest of the US market attached and intertwined in a way that the EU can't replicate (no matter how hard it tries), and that must be considered, but California doing the same $3.8-4T that Germany is doing with half the population is astounding.
bad guy Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Germany’s been on a decline ever since WW2 ended, while California only grows stronger. But both California and Germany keep the US and EU afloat, respectively.
Duanielipa Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Germany is bigger, better, more impactful, prettier, more history…
MonsterJohn Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 For all the GDP Cali still has huge issues with homeless people, no free college no universal Healthcare, nothing to be boasting about
rp662 Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 (edited) Rihanna’s California King Bed of course. Edited December 26, 2022 by rp662

The average German citizen is a lot better off than the average Californian.

These are the German equivalent of poor ignorant red states.
LeMésTragique Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Germany. Better quality of life. More respect for their citizens rights. Better urban planing. Better infrastructure. Functioning public transport. Less droughts & forest fires. Free education. Worker rights. Richer history. Universal healthcare. Better work culture. Less homeless. Less crime.
katara Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 California is riddled with drugs and homeless people for being so supposedly rich. Also workers there are basically semi-slaves with noe worker rights. Just because a tiny percent of people living there are super rich doesn't mean the whole state is well off. That's just another dystopia like Dubai, Qatar etc
