Will there be a way to buy the tour book later on her official site? I was in Berlin and there were only 10 pieces (wtf) for the whole evening. So no chance to get one. 😑

@exfactor003is your friend from touring data planning to release numbers from the March shows? Per Pollstar, they have now have tour numbers for 6 shows. 3 hawaiian shows already published plus 3 more which I now suspect might be all from the Japan shows.

haha, I was only using 'friend' colloquially in the past. I don't actually know him besides the fact that I am subscribed to his Patreon.

I asked him if there is an update, I will let you know what he says.

Yokohama, Japan
March 20, 2024
$2,452,222

I underestimated her touring power in Japan. She did 2M with 2 shows back in 2017. Now she's doing 2.5M per night in Japan! I bet even she didn't sell Philippines show out, she still grossed pretty above 800K. London should be lucrative and all UK shows are expensive so 800K each.

I still don't get cancelling Glasgow. I bet a half sold out arena would break even all costs and not damaging her touring reputation should be top priority at this point, especially comes to touring outside US.

Huge!!!! 2nd biggest for the tour so far behind Hollywood Bowl from leg 1.  Hope touring data releases the the other 2 March numbers (probably Osaka and Nagoya).

And good news on the Birmingham upgrade! Just based on this, 1st London show, Amsterdam and Paris should be at least 1.5M+

Should be grossing around 1M per night for the European tour, this is great. I have faith for her to come back to Europe in the next few years.

Is she does an average 1M per show then that would be such a win for Janet and sets her up for a bigger and longer tour in Europe the next time around.

The 2M gross for her two Tokyo shows in 2018 was only an estimate, the official boxscores were never reported. The actual figures could've been better.

$2.45M for the Yokohama show is fantastic. It is one of her biggest boxscores ever. If only we knew how much she grossed during her many Tokyo Dome concerts (+50,000 capacity) back in the 90s and early 2000s.

Top Boxscores (officially reported only):

  1. $3,839,132 - Together Again (May 9-10 2023) (Madison Square Garden) (New York City) (24,466)
  2. $3,175,672  - All For You (August 20-23 2001) (Madison Square Garden) (New York City) (38,743)
  3. $3,057,192 - Together Again (April 26-27 2023) (State Farm Arena) (Atlanta) (22,595)
  4. $2,846,336 - Together Again (June 10 2023) (Hollywood Bowl) (Los Angeles) (17,335)
  5. $2,546,837 - All For You (August 16-18 2001) (MCI Center) (Washington) (39,010)
  6. $2,513,063 - All For You (July 26-28 2001) (United Center) (Chicago) (31,795)
  7. $2,452,222 - Together Again (March 20 2024) (K Arena) (Yokohama) (Japan) (19,507)

It's clear that she won't draw any causal fans like she did with her US tour, so the next time, she can do more big cities in the EU with mid sized arenas, 7000-15000. Put the price high and sell less tickets would be her advantage. If she feels like promoting, the of course larger arenas. But I don't think it's that effective. Also, incorporating a few festivals would be a plus, constantly put herself out there would increase her popularity in EU

what really grinds my gears is that Billboard only published the ten biggest scores of the week throughout much of the Nineties. think of how many Janet dates were reported, but we will never be privy to. :fish2: I want to get a job with them specifically to go through the archive, haha.

Do we have pics from this show? I cannot imagine an arena that is 60% empty

higheisha on TikTok (higheisha_publishing on IG) uploaded a pretty good compilation-style video with some crowd shots, as well as this one from before the show. as you can see, the upper section was curtained, and it would also appear that the stage was moved forward.

They just closed the upper section. That way the arena would look pretty full.

They should try smaller venue, they can still charge high but the cost will be down. I would love to see Manchesters number, I think it would be between 5-7000 but the average would be high.
