robbyds Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Pollstar also has one new show reported for March. Would you know what show it is @exfactor003?

So far, we know that leg 2 had made 28M+ if we combine both. It looks like the us legs will gross around 89M, with 2.4M from Hawaii, and three sold out shows in Japan (at least 1M per night), and one date in Asia. It should gross around 95M already. Surely the 11 shows in Europe will push the tour across 100M mark. This is such an accomplishment from her. Especially considering how tragic the 2nd leg of STOT went. 1

Tickets for Japan sold out at first price. No discounting necessary. 😁 Hopefully we get confirmation from Livenation soon 1

Will it be tragic or just fine? I don't expect ur to be a sure fire looking at the 2nd leg numbers.

I am not sure, but if I were to hazard a guess, I'm thinking that it is the Philippines show. only because we don't have any Japanese data from throughout her career, but there was a box score for the 2011 show in Manila. just waiting on Touring Data to make a post with the new figures. 1

I guess since the Vegas market is mostly tourists and people on vacation the residency will be fine. I mean, she's a household name and folks most probably will check out her show. Besides, it's just a short stint

My guess is the same. I hope that boxscore isnt as tragic as i think it would be.

Iaintsorry Posted August 26 Posted August 26 The fact that she's been able to tour/do shows since 2015 with no new music (besides a quick collab that made no waves) and basically the same setlist rehashed over and over again and still do these numbers is really impressive 2 1

No big reflections on her streaming due to fans used to listen to her aren't really using streaming. she needs some extra exposure by collaborating with newer acts but I fail to understand why she basically didn't collaborate with any big new artists…. 1

Well she doesn't seem interested in releasing music in general 1
Moth 2 The Flame Posted August 29 Posted August 29 The Billboard July 2024 Top Tour Artists ranking & boxscore has been posted, with the article and table charts publicly available instead of being paywalled this time strangely enough. https://www.billboard.com/music/chart-beat/coldplay-tour-1-billion-dollar-grosses-1235762768/ Janet ranked just outside of the top 20 at #21 with a gross of $15.9M from 16/17 reported shows she did for that month and same attendance number of 177k. The Essence Music Festival show is not counted otherwise it'd have been 18 shows total. I'm sure had all 17 shows been reported, the boxscore would've at least been $17-$18M. If touring data reports boxscore details from Pollstar for each individual date for the July 2024 shows, then we could figure out the 1 date that wasn't reported from that month by looking at the wikipedia page for the tour. But now we have a boxscore gross number for the majority of the US dates (73 shows) that is publicly available from Billboard & Pollstar. $50.9M from 37 shows in 2023 (via Billboard) $2.39M from 3 Hawaii shows in March 2024 (via Pollstar news article) $18.3M from 17 shows in June 2024 (via Billboard) $15.9M from 16 shows in July 2024 (via Billboard) TOTAL: $87.49M Again, we're still missing boxscore grosses for the Japan, Philippines & Bahamas show as well as the US casino shows & 1 unreported July 2024 date. I'd estimate the current total would be around $93M-95M if those were included. 2 1

Pollstar has 1 other March show available but touring data hasnt released that yet (probably Philippines).
Graves Posted September 12 Posted September 12 I saw some peeps are getting seat upgrades for Manchester. I was kinda living in fear of it being Jancelled so this bodes well, right? Hopefully they'll just close off some of the outer seats if the sales are that underwhelming. Less than a month to mother

Less than a month to mother Price for her Manchester show is way too expensive. However, she sold at least all seats in the floor and the lower tier, so I can see her still making a profit. Come on, pull it through! 1
°ColdFire° Posted September 16 Posted September 16 RIP, Tito. Are we to expect some rescheduling or cancellations?
Cbreezy Posted September 16 Posted September 16 1 hour ago, °ColdFire° said: RIP, Tito. Are we to expect some rescheduling or cancellations? I doubt it. As a seasoned Jackson fan, they definitely give a "show must go on" tea. Especially judging by the immediate aftermath of MJ's passing. If anything, I would see a rescheduling of a few of the slower-selling dates. Particularly if the funeral (can't believe I'm even typing this about Tito ) is in the coming weeks. 1
