Ticket prices are still high considering the mass amount of last minutes discount tickets.
.Odyssey. Posted July 13 Posted July 13 Went again last night in DC after seeing it in Baltimore last night. Maybe it was my view, but I thought this was such a better version of the show. The setlist was fire compared to the first version of the show (though I wish she kept So Much Betta and Because of Love). Her outfits >>, setlist >>, choreography and staging >> My sole critique — What the hell is going on with the visuals behind her? What in the Adobe After Effects hell are those graphics? If she had real visuals, the show would be pretty ace. Bought tix a few hours before the show last night on a whim and couldn't be happier I did! 1 1

Glad that despite massively discounting the tickets, they were still able to cross a million per show (so far) 1

After years of doing budget type shows this finally feels like an arena level show. The set looks great, her band is fire and her dancers are on point (Denzel can **** my ****** and *** in my ***, no ******). The setlist is mostly perfect (the opening is such a huge upgrade) and it all feels like a huge, fun dance party/celebration of Janet's catalogue. The only low point are those screen visuals. Wtf is up with those Windows Media Player 2000 visualizations? Couldn't they pay for some actual real visuals? Some montages from her videos? Some like landscapes or actual shot videos with a camera and real people, I don't know. Something that felt real and considered and not auto-generated. On the plus side, Janet still oozes superstar from every pore of her body and still dances her ass off in addition to constantly grooving to the music and working the stage and the crowd. I don't understand the complaints about not dancing as much, every major dance break my girl is right there and she's pushing 60, still putting every other girl out there to shame. An icon. I hope if this leg clears another 100 million we get ever better production for the next one and BETTER VISUALS. Edited July 14 by Jay07 1 1

I'm sure if she launch a new era next time with a banger like Burnitup, she will get better production. I think things gone for better after she did the Metamorphosis show, so that's worth it. And we most guarantee to have a huge tour when she announce her retirement, so things look so good right now compared to when she did SOTW. 1

toast Posted July 15 Posted July 15 Went to the Brooklyn show last week and saw Kevin Aviance getting her life to All Nite - I did the same! 1
LuckyCunt Posted July 16 Posted July 16 This tour is better in person. I feel like the videos don't do it justice. I know stans/core fans love the random album cuts she does here and there, but those were some of the deadest moments in the show. The Charlotte show was outside so they kept having to come out and mop the stage. I do appreciate her singing live more.

She's pushing 60 and still dance more heavily than many current girls, that's more than enough. Plus, her live singing is amazing, people don't appreciate how good she is at singing. 3
KKKIMO92 Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Can someone please add that South Africa date onto her Wikipedia touring page… 1

Moth 2 The Flame Posted July 31 Posted July 31 Billboard has posted the top tours for June 2024 now. According to their table chart, Janet ranked in at #16 with a gross of $18.3M from the 17 shows she did in June. Attendance was 177k. Article (Paywalled) Billboard Top Tour Artists June 2024 Table Chart Live Nation slashing ticket prices and this 2nd US leg selling much slower obviously lowered her gross, because compared to her May 2023 gross from the same amount of shows she did (17), there's nearly a $6M difference. So anyway if we add up all the reported gross so far by Billboard & Pollstar $50.9M from 37 shows of the first US leg in 2023 $2.39M from the 3 shows she did in Hawaii earlier this year $18.3M from 17 US shows she did in June 2024 The total reported gross so far is at $71.59M USD. Keep in mind this doesn't include the unreported 3 sold out Japan shows she also did as well as the show in the Philippines. If we were to add the gross for those shows into the total, then I'm guessing the total would be around $75M or more at the moment. 2

There are 33 shows of the second leg, right? She needs more shows, maybe some in Australia?
