Janet Jackson | Together Again Tour | Coming to a city near you!

Saw the last show last night- she was AMAZING :jonny4: i love her so much, I cried at the end.

The second half of the show kinda outdid the first imo. I think maybe the next tour she should consider focusing most on the greatest hits cause the crowd went wild for those unlike the deep cuts (which I did appreciate).

She did say Seattle is the end of this leg, so apparently she will do more legs. Take it to the UK, Manchester please.

I wonder if Janet would ever think of releasing acapella versions of her albums . I’ve seen her get so much traction online about her harmonies (it’s about damn time people realize!). I think it would be a smart thing

:clap3:

I wonder how many of her singles have official acapella versions. The filtered versions on YouTube are cool, but the real deal would be nice. Her harmonies have always been one of my favorite parts of her artistry.

I like it when her dancers run her social media.

:giraffe:

She’s a megastar on a diff level so it’s nice to see her around regular ppl. They sort of humanize her. More rehearsal videos tho!

& a 2nd leg, PLEASE. At least 10 US dates in the cities that missed out on leg 1 (DC etc) :gaycat3:

It was a great idea, plus the dancers are sexy! I liked all of the stuff they've done on her stories throughout the tour. Would be nice if they could do behind the scenes content before and after the tour as well though. :gaynetcat4:

I agree, the All For You Tour is a close second (bc of the production, I think she’s a more interesting performer now despite being older).

I wonder what a Janet stadium tour would look like. :gaycat3: Janet with a Beyonce/Taylor budget would be a spectacle every night.

Janet is connecting more with the audience instead of just doing her choreography, which I like. A stadium tour would be great. I selfishly want to see her double bill/co-headline with legends.

I wonder if she'd finally let her hits breathe and actually perform them in full

:clap3: would you prefer less songs that are in full or all the songs full? I don't think she has to do every single. I like interpolations and interludes, but Diamonds for example should be longer. And we got 30 seconds of You Want This for way too long.

She doesn't need a super long time to sell tbh, but you're right it seems like a break is gonna happen for a while. I'm not holding my breath for new music anymore but it would be yet again a great opportunity to release something.

Just following some announcements of overseas dates and it seems that most artists announce their Oceania and Europe legs about 6 to 9 months in advance.

The show is for the diehard fans and casual fans alike, not just the masses. She has always done the hits for everyone, but there's plenty of us who enjoy or prefer the album tracks and unreleased songs. She's been doing this since 2017 and it's refreshing compared to the greatest hits/ some tracks from the new album pattern she did for so long.

I cannot wait to be back in the UK and attend a show with the UK Janet fans as well as my family in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle, they are so ready!

I don't mind the medley but like she has songs that DESERVE to get the full song being performed and not just a chorus or the title

Janet made the top 10 touring artists ranking for May 2023 coming in at #10! Her 17 shows in May grossed $24M.

https://web.archive.org/web/20230629171334/https://www.billboard.com/pro/beyonce-tops-may-2023-boxscore-report/

The table chart ranking for the artists in link below. Billboard seemed to have used a new code to show the table chart ranking instead of a jpeg image so it won't show up in the waybackmachine archived link above, but you can still read the entire article from it.

So adding the 10 show's gross she did in April, which was $11,803,289 with the $24,000,000 gross from the 17 shows in May...The tour's gross so far comes to $35,803,289 from 27 reported shows. She did 11 shows for June so I wonder if she'll crack $50M with those dates added in? If not, she most likely will when adding in the boxscore for her October 27th show later in the year. :gaynetcat2:

She can probably make 100M alone touring NA when a 2nd leg is announced.

If that average continues or even slightly increases, it'll cross $50 million!

Hoping for international dates soon. Fingers crossed!

I'm still upset that hardly any new music but a little clip was performed!? What is the promo strategy and what is that song for/about?!

When they found tickets were selling by its own, Janet just called it a day and give up on the new music. I don’t think we will have new music with this tour even if we have more legs cause it’s selling....

Billboard has written on article on Janet's tour and has claimed it grossed $50.9 million from 37 reported shows! I think they meant 38 though and 37 was just a wrong number the writer got.

https://web.archive.org/web/20230705144927/https://www.billboard.com/pro/janet-jacksons-together-again-tour-earnings-nearly-51-million/

Interestingly, the article also mentions she grossed $254.9 million from her tours dating back to March 1990 from 418 reported shows and sold 4.5 million tickets from that. We know Janet did way more than 418 shows from her touring history so the gross is definitely much higher when factoring in unreported shows.

The Hollywood Bowl show grossed $2.8M @KKKIMO92 :gaynetcat4:

They must count the merchandise sales to the gross. Looks like merchandise sales are an important addition to the gross.

this is her best grossing tour reportedly, this is way overdue as if she didn’t have the superbowel incident, she most likely to have her first ever 100M grossing tour with DJ.

I hope she has a 2nd leg and tour UK finally.

So sad about Daniel. How weird to think he'll never be on stage with her again. I just was at the Hollywood show last month and seeing him up there. I wonder what happened.

web.archive.org/web/20230728104644/https://www.billboard.com/pro/harry-styles-love-on-tour-gross-june-tops-billboard-box-score/

Janet's ranking for top tour artists of June 2023 was #17 from 10 reported shows according to Billboard.

Table Chart Ranking

So it turns out Billboard was right from their previous article on Janet's Together Again tour where they said they received only 37 reported shows out of the initial 38 dates scheduled. We know she did 11 shows in June, so 1 show was unreported and the Lincoln date in October has yet to happen.

When factoring in the 1 unreported date and upcoming Lincoln date, the tour is very likely to have grossed about $53M-$54M from 39 shows. :gaynetcat2:

I am kinda curious if the unreported date is the private show they hosted at MGM Live Grand Arena because I saw it on my FYP and it was literally the tour format and everything.
