They could just add age restrictions as a form of censorship ? banning 18 and under from social media is not the form of activism they think it is. Banning Social media apps before Guns is wild?

imagine they tried to shutdown MySpace or Facebook when we were coming up? Like how is this helping anyone? Just censor inappropriate content and themes on apps based on age, it’s been done on Tiktok for months now. Not that hard

A way better thing to do would be to ban them from watching porn. Unfortunately, porn will never be illegal, but even putting age restriction on it would be better than nothing.

ppl with this view are so narrow minded.  honestly social media was so beneficial to my intellectual development in a non-ironic way. i swear ppl who weren’t as fluent with social media that i knew in school were way less open minded, aware of the world etc. 

 

like i understand the dangers with social media. but as someone who grew up in a small, isolated, ignorant town in the middle of nowhere… having access to a whole world online and knowing there were other homos like me out there was so comforting. plus it allowed me to see what else was out there and plan my move to bigger cities and places
