WHAT :biblio: this is so disturbing. May he Rest In Peace, condolences to his loved ones, and **** any and everyone that had anything to do with this.

RIP... I'm gonna say it again. Any culture that promotes violence like this will fall by its own weight, that monarchy better count its days.

Yea there is no reason they should have had it in that country

He may have already been ill, but fowl play certainly shouldn't be ruled out completely.

This. We can believe what they say truly but we can't rule out foul play knowing how shady and violent that country and regime is.

Grant was live-tweeting the Argentina vs. Netherlands game just hours ago ... with his last post coming at 1:05 PT.

Eric says he spoke with Grant's wife, Celine, who says he collapsed at the stadium and was given CPR before being Ubered to a hospital, where he died.

looks like he died of natural causes and went into cardiac arrest at the stadium..don't think he was killed unless the killer has Jedi powers...:michael:

RIP to him and condolences to his wife :heart2:

may he rest in peace

Doubt the Qataris did this. Murdering an American journalist on their own damn soil? For what? The aftermath would bring them a whole lot more headache than a rainbow shirt.

What a scary world we live in. :dancehall:

Rest in peace to the journalist

It’s very reckless—almost idiotic—to not consider foul play

I wouldn’t be surprised if there was medical negligence involved here. I read that he sought treatment a couple of times and they waved him off with a bronchitis diagnosis.

He was, to me, the only American football journalist worth following and reading. Rest in peace.

I made it to both assessment days for Qatar Airways, thank god I didn't go further :biblio:

Just so everyone is aware, it's the guy from this thread just over two weeks ago

It was a major international news story. And now he just drops dead of a respiratory infection or heart attack?

Nah. There better be a full investigation.
