Apparently it tested really well since it was made for streaming, I mean the original mean girls isn’t a cinematography masterpiece lol what was good about it was the script which Tina Fey wrote. She wrote this one too so I think I trust her since I have liked everything I she has written. 

I wonder if it does well at the box office, paramount will try to push Tina to write a sequel to the original. The entire cast has been wanting it but Tina says she doesn’t wanna write it. A test for the franchise.

Maybe it tested well too but I bet the studios changed it because they were/are concerned about lack of content/theatrical releases due to the strikes considering everything the trades have been saying in recent weeks. The original kinda is a masterpiece for its genre? it became even more incredibly popular over the years but it was very acclaimed upon release as well. And I doubt the way this performs will affect a potential sequel with the original cast, if anything the musical cast would get one. The reason why there hasn't been a sequel to the first is because Tina hasn't wanted to write one as there's obviously interest by both the public and the cast (but they all say Tina has to be behind it so that has to be the reason why it didn't happen)

I just hope that Paramount giving this a theatrical release, when it was supposed to go straight to streaming, is a sign of positive test-screenings and confidence rather than a decision made to offset their open schedule brought by the strike. Really hope they pull this off, rooting for it!

So we're more than likely to get a sequel to the musical instead of the original like how everyone wants because Tina doesn't want to write a direct sequel but can do a musical sequel spin off with ease? **** that *****!!!

the Plastics and Janis are all gorgeous I get that they want Regina to stand out but they did the others dirty in most of the media I've seen of them in character so far  Aaron looks very bland, I mean he kinda was in the first movie too but he was barely in it anyway
