Ohio just flocked to JD Vance in droves and it wasn’t really even that close, so Brown isn’t exactly safe. Pretty sure he loses, especially if Trump is the nominee at the top of the ticket. Josh Mandel would even be the stronger candidate for that cycle, since he’s a true MAGA believer and not a disingenuous grifter like JD Vance is.

Tester faces the same problem. Trump being at the top of the ballot and it not being a blue wave election year could be what costs him. He got extremely lucky that his last election was in 2018 tbh. It’ll depend on whom his opponent is, but seeing as reporter body-slammer Greg Gianforte has been elected statewide there, I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Brown though has been a special case in Ohio for years. If republicans nominate a good candidate, I wouldn’t be stunned if he loses. It’s not set in stone, but he’s definitely an underdog.

The GOP has already poured millions of dark money into defeating Tester for years, and trump went there personally to campaign against him 10 times in 2018…still couldn’t do it. If Zinke is the nominee, I ESPECIALLY wouldn’t count out tester. He’s probably an underdog still, but MT is weird

All I’ll say is that the midterms weren’t as resounding a rejection of MAGA as Democrats and Never Trump Republicans are wishcasting it to be. The individual candidates were bad. Herschel Walker lost because he was astonishingly unintelligent and extremely morally flawed. An articulate white MAGA candidate like Doug Collins or David Perdue would have romped and destroyed Warnock.

Dr. Oz lost because he wasn’t even from New Jersey and did nothing to energize the Islamophobic base.

Other candidates across the board would have also won had Dobbs not happened. Blake Masters had to immediately walk back his comments on abortion after getting the nomination, and he came across as extremely inauthentic in doing so. Adam Laxalt probably beats Catherine Cortez Masto if Trump had not overemphasized Election Day voting, because (guess what?) it snowed in Reno on Election Day. Chris Sununu would have ENDED Maggie Hassan extremely easily. And so on.

That wasn’t MAGA failing. That was individual candidate quality along with external conditions inflicted by SCOTUS. Trump is just bad at understanding at what makes a candidate other than himself electable.

Eh, I think it’s fair to say that the electorate as a whole is over trump. There’s too much data that shows it. Republican had a 6% higher turnout this year, and everyone trump endorsed (even those who weren’t off the rails crazy like Adam Laxalt) lost in important races, and trump had a 38% approval rating in exit polls, compared to a 44% approval rating from Biden…

The only dark horse here is that trump has a horde of cult followers who don’t give af about voting if he’s not on the ballot, who will probably show up in 24 and could change some races

She KNEW she was going to lose the primary, so now she has put herself in a position of blocking dems from running anyone against her. If they do, she knows it will split the vote and the republican will win. She's an absolutely HORRIBLE person and now she's going to continue being an annoying ***** that blocks blocks progress any chance she gets.
