The way she made so many album reactors cry on first listen...:cries:

Not daddy crying to like 4-5 songs... :lmao::flame: The power this album has. She's draining everyone with it, in the best way.

Honestly. I need to skip songs depending on my mood because I have to decide if I wanna get into it :gaycat6:

They're like sibling tracks. If anyone is still saying she sings about the same things (it's happening in a certain Base thread right now), those will be the eternal receipts.

Teaaa. Or maybe should have given them an actual melody

Kuntpussy has a melody. Stop with the misinformation propaganda.

Only Fingertits has a free verse poem vibe that may need more variation for its melody but it will grow on you once you let it stick with your brain after a few plays.

Also just listened to this podcast series that did 2 great in-depth eps on her: one on her catalog right before the album release and an album review that the host did with the writer who reviewed the album on The Guardian and gave A&W Pitchfork's Best New Track.

Ep 1: LDR Career and place in pop's pantheon: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/lana-del-rey-with-kathy-iandoli/id1556457357?i=1000605511759

Yes! Fingertips reminds me of Leaving LA by Father John Misty in that way. All verse, no chorus.

Especially when Kintsugi is the best track she has ever recorded (fingertips is unbearable thought)

Think by the third of March, I was cracked open
Finally the ground was cold, they wouldn't open
Brought by the sunlight of the spirit to pour into me
There's a name for it in japanese, it's Kintsugi

Like how tasteless you have to be to say this song is not good :weeps: one of her best EVER

Watch her submit this album and the songs into the Pop categories at the Grammys and than her stans blame the Grammys for the lack of recognition. :dies:

Me talking about mvs for the era:

Isn't her label the one sending it to pop categories?

Imagine not only thinking but then having the lack of decorum and self-respect to admittedly say “Fingertips is unbearable” :rip: Oprah No GIF

That’s what the assumptions have been however Taylor Swift made it seem that it was her decision to not submit Fearless TV for any consideration so it seems like the artist can have control of their submissions. Nicki also implied that she sent Super Freaky Girl into Rap and than lashed out when she was moved into Pop.

Kintsugi has the best chorus on the album :bibliahh:

"no melody" "lack of melody" etc. are the most cringe worthy and 99% of the time false critiques... just say you don't like it :rip:

Yes even Fingertips (which I initially thought was totally free-styled) has melodies. The more you listen to Fingertips the clearer the melodies that will start to carve into your mind, it's so good. Kintsugi tho lowkey already had pretty clear structure and melodies. Kintsugi has more melodies than Candy Necklace and Fishtail, even the catchy Peppers :skull:

Now that after like a month already and things have kinda settled. What do yall think between NFR and Ocean Blvd has the better songwriting?

My personal take would be that NFR may be arguably better sonically to many but the songwriting in Ocean Blvd is just more superb. This album is like peak Lana songwriting for the whole f***ing album, song after song after song. And she is so mature and so sure and confident on every single word. Her pen game is untouchable here it's crazy :jonny6:  we really have our generation's Joni Mitchell or Stevie Nicks.
