I was rooting for both Janet's USA and Kylie's Australia but Natalie LaRose's the Netherlands and Anya Taylor Joy's Argentina were simply too strong.

P.S. Australia was the better team in my opinion, they were so close to tying :jonnycat:

Soccer truly lost.

Still, the fact that Australia and the US made it to the round of 16 and Germany did NOT is crazy to me.

Wouldn't have happened if they called it the right name

Our players felt unsafe and uncomfortable in Qatar thus throwing them off their game. America will REDEEM themselves next time

Germany sucks. And has been for a while. They are just riding the coattails of their past legacy.

As of May 2015, over 24.4 million people play soccer in the United States. In 2017, Gallup reported that soccer was the third-most watched team sport in the U.S., behind only basketball and American football.

:cm:

idk how accurate the first number is it was the first one that showed up on google. However, soccer is definitely a pretty popular sport in the US and interest is only going up

Umm, Australia is not a football country. Soccer comes after AFL, NRL and Rugby Union here…

At least they were on the field playing rather than alleged "footballing countries" like Germany, Italy, Mexico, and Uruguay.

I never watch soccer but it was fun to watch the World Cup this year. Very dramatic and hopefully the US goes further next time.
