AlanRickman1946 Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 BREAKING: The Senate voted to 80-15 to force a contract on rail workers. Here are the Senators who voted no: Cotton Cruz Hawley Rubio Rick Scott Toomey Collins Tim Scott Hagerty Gillibrand Merkley Sanders Hickenlooper Warren Sullivan The House on Wednesday approved a separate measure that would have added seven days of paid sick leave to the contract instead of just one. That measure was defeated in the Senate vote. Paid sick leave has been the main point of disagreement during negotiations between railroads and the unions.
Komet Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 ONE (1) day of paid sick leave ?!? US is such a hell hole
Vermillion Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 This was already unpacked in the U.S. politics thread, but the insurrection caucus on this list is only posturing here for future presidential primaries and did NOT care when a similar situation happened with government workers earlier so don't be fooled.
