However, she needs to switch this time, another BB will trigger her fanbase too much. And despite loving her mellow albums, I want her to go harder this time. It seems like they will actually promote this and treat it like a real album, unlike BB which was basically a non event.

BB was basically a mixtape/buzz album. A Miley & Her Dead Petz thing.

I don’t consider it a mixtape, it has “lead” single (Arcadia), videos (cheap ones, but still videos) and a good amount of physical stuff on release. But she knew she wasn’t touring that album and neither COCC, so I guess she didn’t put much effort on promoting.

 

This new album will have tour I guess, and there are already festivals scheduled, so I guess this one will have at least a Honeymoon/ LFL rollout.

blue banisters is a good album and could've been great if she didn't put youtube rips of unreleased tracks from 2013 on the album and actually reworked those tracks and removed that stupid interlude

I really like Arcadia but her vocals are a bit too pitchy. I hope the new album is a new sound for her.

Not sure why f communities like this one tend to overrate BB and underrate COCC so much. BB had some great songs lyrically, mostly the title track and Arcadia which are both amazing, but the rest of the album leaves a bad taste in the mouth with the leftover stench. I became a fan with newer Lana (NFR in particular) so this album felt like a major regression. Like it was nothing more than a "something sweet for the kids" moment.

 

COCC however is great. She totally nails the singer songwriter vibe on this one, and has some of her best songs period. White Dress & Wild at Heart are top tier in her discography. LMLYLAM, title track, NAWWAL, and TJH are all amazing too and icing on the cake. y'all make me feel like I'm on crazy pills with the discourse regarding those two albums. I know ATRL Lana fans tend to skew to the BTD spectrum so that's probably why there was such appreciation for the half finished leftovers of BB.
