You're thinking of Cassandra Clare, not Stephenie Meyer.

OT: Yes and Jacob should've been killed off instead

Not me getting them mixed up :ahh:

What? No he didn't. Why would you think that?

Imprinting is just a soul link basically, more metaphysical than physical.

I thought it meant like animals marking their territory with pee and that that's why Bella was disgusted :thing: granted I haven't seen that movie in many years now

Isn't this the same thing as when people say they'll "wait until he/she turns 18"?

So yes it's gross. That author has made questionable choices and the way she acted on set was... interesting.

What’s the tea with how she acted on set? Couldn’t find anything when I googled :eatpopcorn:

Twilight is an excellent example of what  toxic relationships, self-destructive behaviours and grooming are. It's 100% toxic.

Its science fiction about vampires and werewolves and yall are trying to turn it into reality :dies:

Yes. Just as much as a 200 to 300 year old falling for a 14 or 15 year old. How old was she in the first movie?

Well, it was a teenager book although it was read a lot by middle aged women.

It's sort of romanticizing all these toxic things to young gullible minds.

Well, all pieces of entertainment are subject to analysis and review, after all.

You kinda are tbh ?.

Thats how it was written. The book specifically states that jacob found the idea of a relationship with Nessie disgusting and was repulsed. The whole point with imprinting is that you are soul mates and the wolf takes the form of whatever the mate wants. I.e if they want an older brother, they get an older brother, a friend a best friend. If Nessie never wanted to be lovers, Jacob would never want to be a lover to Nessie. The power dynamic is controlled by Nessie.

It’s why Jacob hated the idea and Sam’s problems being the first wolf to transform was traumatic. He had no feelings from Emily, then felt the need to be everything she needed him to be. It’s why he spilled all the secrets to her, and then waited for her to make a determination of what relationship she wanted. I.e, “if Emiliy had told Sam to go away and never return, he would have obeyed as that is what the imprintee wanted.”

Lesson of the story is imprinting does not equal a sexual relationship. Imprinting equals a soul mate where the imprintee determines what relationship they desire.

So... Reneesme can still fall in love with someone else and leave Jacob on the side as a friend again? Lmao

Yeah, the only reason we did not see that and everyone assumes nessie got with Jacob is because Alice had a vision (only in the movie). But it doesnt make sense because Alice cannot see Jacob’s future as he is a werewolf. I think in the book, it was Bella who imagined a future with Edward, Jacob and Nessie, all together and we assumed Nessie and Jacob were together as a couple or its implied. But no one actually knows Nessies future with Jacob because the book has not been written. Jacob could just be friend zoned for eternity, and he would accept that fate.
