Johnny Cash Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 Good numbers for Shakira, it seems like she's not willing to do any promotion whatsoever so the album will have to survive on the singles alone.
vuelve88 Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 Good to see Shakira bouncing back up to #13. Not amazing, but not as tragic as the predicted #18.
Youtakemehigher Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 I dont understand why it's a drag to be successful in latin america, like, the target audience for her album???? Her peers there are who? Thalia? Paulina rubio? Jlo?? Because shes doing much better than them...

mike3009 Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 Queen of rebouncing 5 positions. Hopefully she can match She Wolf's debut
Pacaveli Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 (edited) Shakira's numbers are so mehhh. It'd be doing better than it. She's deserved this, tbh, though. Edited June 3, 2017 by Pacaveli

Dreajae Posted June 3, 2017 Posted June 3, 2017 Remember last year when Celine sold over 500k first week worldwide with her FRENCH language album? She had a territory too and managed to go Diamond and top a few best of 2016 lists. Some artists dont need the excuses. If you're global and later focus on your main demographic, it shows.

Not to mention French only has an estimated 80M native speakers compared to Spanish's estimated 470M. That's almost 6 times as much. Celine also didn't have "two of the most global hits ever" prior to the album's release either. Something is just not adding up. Edited June 4, 2017 by mdnazn

El Dorado has moved more album equivalents than Encore Un Soir and the album is in its second week. El Dorado is around 2M album equivalents and Encore Un Soir only made it to 1.5M.

Sit down, Beyoncé isn't relevant WW. Lemonade WW - 3 million Lemonade US - 1.7 million = 1.3 million. Keep up with stats if you want to drag.
