what's with the random shakira/beyonce fighting :deadbanana:

So immature.

OT: Decent numbers, El Dorado is a mediocre (spanish) album.

Certain members are pathetic :toofunny3: It's so funny to me when someone tries to drag Shakira for no particular reason, she just releases music for the sake of it at this point :toofunny3:

Shakira releases an album, it doesn't do 600k in the first week and the random lashings begin in the HDD thread. It's the same story over and over again.

She doesn't care to be the biggest popstar in the world anymore, so why the hell do you? All this kindergarten mess about whose fave is better and more successful is so ridiculous.

wow at the stan war.. here's my 2 cents..

aside from latin america, europe or whatever country Shakira charted.. she's just not a thing especially in asia.. whereas Beyonce can still sell evrywhere even without hit..

Beyonce on the other hand might sell album and tour outside US.. the era so far felt non-existent only created by media hype..

Shakira is not an American Citizen/Native English Speaker (The struggle for us is huge :cm: We dont have the same industry connections/anglo GP appeal/english songwriting skills/possibilities :emofish:  Shakira is someone really really special :clap3:

the number is  not that bad tho for latin album.

her last latin one did like 50k something. so considering album sales market.. it's okay.

El Dorado has been the best-selling album on European iTunes since it's release 6 days ago :clap3:. It's still #4 ww :).

Imagine thinking Latin America and Europe are countries :rip:. Shakira is huge in India and the Middle East.

El Dorado hasn't been promoted so far. The era has been on-going for a year, producing 2 huge Latin hits, one winning Latin Grammys for Latin Song and Record of the year, garnering 3B streams and counting. You're not following Latin Music obv.

where did I say europe and latin america country?? I meant other countries aside from countries in EU and lat. america from that statement. . I lowkey follow latin music like I listened to despacito prior JB and a big fan of Bailando and Duele, even CHANTAJE.. I mean in Asian countries you dont hear it in radio or anywhere.. aside from despacito with JB..

latin songs are big in youtube YES.. but maybe because YT is big in latin markets.. doesn't mean it's slaying the whole world.. but maybe I just dont feel it BIG because it's just non existent in my place ..

and by the way.. I once took in charge in our playlist in the office and I put my latin bops.. Bailando, Duele El Corazon, Despacito (without JB), Chantaje..

and my workmates are like.. "what kind of songs are you putting there" then they skipped everything I've add..

that's how unknown latin songs were in my country.

Oh wow... global legend Shakira is doing even worse... 28k :ahh::ahh:

Beyoncé did 500k twice... with no promo :ahh:

with an English album sis, I'd like to see Beyonce try and do what Shakira does, it's not easy to get multiple WW smashes in 2 different languages. Don't even know what y'all have against Shakira, I don't know if it's sad or hilarious how insecure the Beyhive is.

Posted

Like Beyonce does better album wise and Shakira is getting unpromoted WW smashes Beyonce could only dream of, I don't know why anyone would feel the need to drag her.

Who needs hits when you are selling albums and stadiums around the world something shakira isn't doing ?

idk, who needs tours success when you can sit at home with your family and produce WW hit singles and albums, something Beyonce isn't doing ?

But ATRL told me she was over

This thread is honestly a mess, I don't know why people expected better from Shakira. She isn't 'Global'.

But she made more money off Lemonade than shakira did off that song   and Beyoncé made plenty money off of Formation and sorry alone no matter how hard you try Beyoncé always wins that's why she worth more money and more relevant than shakira. OT good numbers for Teller ?

You can believe that all you want, but at the end of the day it just isn't true. Did you know that Chantaje has more WW certifications than anything Beyonce has ever released.

Shakira doesn't give a...
I don't give a ...
Most of the bease don't give a ...
Why mostly beyhive do?
She had good sales in the US until the FO1/OF2 eras after She Wolf her number are just quiet decent.
She has been in 3 Fifa WorldCup in a row so She's global by default. period.
Global =/= Album seller.

Stop the mess.

OT:
She's probably debuting TOP 10, only Bruno and Ed might over take her #7 Spot.
