Chromatica took 20 months to cross the 1 billion mark in the US.

Why on earth would Monsters run in here to bring up Chromatica when it was curb stomped by Renaissance in every metric? :rip: The absolute masochism of it all. :toofunny3:

Re: pure sales, didn’t Chromatica have bundles?

And that’s Spotify, how much have other services increased/decreased? CDs? Vinyl? Digital sales?

Regarding pure sales, HDD estimated Chromatica at 325K pure copies in the US in 2020.

Renaissance is currently at 309K pure sales with 1 month left to track until HDD’s final year-end report.

Chromatica benefitted from bundles unlike Renaissance and had a two months headstart as it was released in late May compared to Renaissance which was released in late July.

@Hot Volcano

Tour bundles? :ahh:

Literally 3 shows. What now, let me guess, they contributed to 100k pure sales? :rip:

Girl have some self respect and just stop

Chromatica was a major flop… Renaissance is the second most successful Female album released this year and top 5 overall

A major flop and the smash album of your fave has yet to surpass it in every single aspect? :dies:

Almost 4 years old? Huh? Check your math :rip:

90% of pure sales are within the first 2 months.

Rennasaince is currently doing 3k weekly, so still a long way to reach Chromatica's numbers :dies:

How come so many of you are having issues with basic calculations :deadbanana4:

Spotify and streaming grew a lot in 2 years.

spotify-user-growth-.png

From 2020 to 2021, active monthly users went up 24%, let's say the same thing happened from 2021 to 2022. When we sum everything up, Rennasaince pulled similiar numbers to Chromatica :dies:

If Spotify’s growth explains the streaming difference, why are Billboard 200 numbers continuing to decline? If your theory applied to actual music consumption, we’d see artists posting BB200 numbers that are much larger than they were just a couple of years ago. Instead, we see declines.

And why did Chromatica spend comparatively less time on the BB 200 Top 10?

The excuse Spotify is bigger now, why is Chromatica not getting better streams now? :skull: it’s barely getting 800k WW on Spotify.

Why are people in here trying to get Gaga dragged? :rip:

Congrats Bey and without even lifting a finger. :clap3:

I'm mad at her to be honest if she'd done a proper rollout, released the videos, promoted and actually pushed her singles she would have done even better. :deadbanana2:

Yes, 3 dates, but those are still about 130k people. Considering other albums with tour bundles is very safe to say they were about 40k, add merch bundles (basically everything on her webstore at the time, and items on preorder as well), easily 100k of Chromatica’s pure sales could be a bundle of either type.

Not really. Midnights had a lengthy pre-order period

Y’all are so messy. And I meant with y’all the monsters and that Italian weirdo. Is it really hard to stay out of a Beyoncé thread?

Only a Lady Gaga stan can be so brave to attack Rennaisance using Chromatica's numbers :rip:

She's ten times bigger than everyone in music, but it figures you'd try and hide behind her than your own fave. :skull:

Congrats Bey. A masterpiece. :clap3:

I hope it goes 3P in the long run.

1 million units already- this album has become such a hit I really didnt think she would serve this level of consistency especially with the nonexistent promo.

A smash :clap3:

25 years in the music biz and still scanning platinum with hits
