Klein Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 The fact that Taylor is currently at #1 without even being top 10 on the Hot 100 list... Her album success is out of this world. Truly a timeless discography. And she has yet to go on tour
PoisonedIvy Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 (edited) If Taylor wants to be AOTD she needs a We Belong Together sized smash in 2025, I don’t think she can scrape by with half the H100 points of her peers this decade like she did last. Even though her BB200 performance will be out of this world untouchable. Edited November 26, 2022 by WeFoundTrouble

The ***** needs a sellout era again, give us 1989 without the songwriting skills just straight up radio trash, give us HITS mam! She's had a 5 year streak of straight up acclaim and poptimism its time for her to spend that on a true Teenage Dream era, 5 #1 megahits!
OnlyManInTheWorld Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 We want more and more successful albums from Tay Tay
simmnfierzig Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 #1 And the lead will certainly build in 2023. Looking good
slw84 Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Drake and Taylor are going to get it again except in reverse. 2010s Drake AOTD/Taylor female AOTD 2020s Taylor AOTD/Drake male AOTD
Green Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Drake blocked her in the 2010s and now she's coming to top the 2020s instead (she will be 40 in 2029 so it's possible, Beyoncé is still successful and getting #1's in her 40s).
family.guy123 Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 What is this? Where’s the source? Is AOTD based on units or chart runs? Morgan Wallen has sold way more than 2.91 million so far this decade.

And the source is some account that predicts the year end lists pretty accurately, but someone else would have to give you the specific details.
Feanor Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 What's the source for this? Cause I don't think iHype has done any updates since his last.
Holiest Dreams Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Most shocking thing here is Drake being so low on BB200. His albums recurrents are… not good. They’ve been declining for years. I don’t get it. So it makes sense, but still a surprising situation. The Weeknd being that high is also almost as shocking.

No way these numbers are accurate. Drake was ahead of The Weeknd on the Billboard 200 Artists Year-End for 2020/2021 (Drake ranked at #4 in 2020 behind Taylor Swift while the Weeknd ranked at #8) and Drake ranked at #2 behind Taylor Swift in 2021 while the Weeknd ranked at #6). He's currently projected to rank at #2 behind Taylor for the 2022 Year-End while The Weeknd is projected to rank at #7 so how do the Weeknd, Morgan Wallen, Juice WRLD and Post Malone all have more points than him when he's outperformed all of them on the Billboard 200 for at least the last 2 years? The funniest is Bad Bunny. He ranked #15 in 2020, #10 in 2021 and is projected to rank at #3 on the 2022 Billboard 200 Artist Year-End but is somehow ahead of Drake? Make it make sense. https://www.billboard.com/charts/year-end/2020/top-billboard-200-artists/ https://www.billboard.com/charts/year-end/2021/top-billboard-200-artists/ The numbers are wrong. Also the YE and decade end Billboard album charts use two different methods. The year end is sales based while the decade end is points based.

Safe&Sound Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Billboard should count album sales more than single sales more though How could points for 12-15 tracks weighed less than 1 track?
Squall Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 (edited) Don't they count touring too? Edited November 27, 2022 by Squall

Less than 5% of the total score Oh, that's really stupid. It's a huge indicator of an artist's popularity (and also the field where they make the biggest amount of money), not sure why Billboard acts like it doesn't matter.
Bonicap Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 (edited) Bad Bunny has 1.87m points from HOT100 and 2.62m points from BB200 but he has 5.21M overall. Where is the extra million points coming from? Edited November 27, 2022 by Bonicap

Klein Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 This means that Bad Bunny got 720k point from 350M tour gross and 1.4M attendance. Taylor could potentially nearly double that next year. She is going to make a serious gap. Let's hope she'll be able to maintain it as the decade goes by.
