I know alot of people who don't like the song too. Quote literally her being so closely affiliated with mgk has elevated her celebrity status. people are checking and looking for her again. it was a mutual beneficial thing. i just wish that she was the only opening act and had a longer set. i didn't mean her opening up. the general consensus seems to be her opening for him reintroduced people who let her go along the way and also brought in his fans and made them hers. she couldn't elevate any thing during her tour with MGK. People are more interested in her relationship with A-listers such as Billie or Olivia. I was laughing at the idea when someone said she should open for Billie. And she opened for someone far beloew that

DTA is probably pushing the song on radio and it flopped hard in streams. Personally, i think the song wouldn't have done anything even if they had promoted more. It's obviously not a song that GP wants out there. Of course i would be happy if it could reach Top 20 on pop but i'm fine with the current position. This is not a song radio plays naturally. Their main sounds in the last 3-4 years have been trap-pop (I Like You, Vegas, First Class), disco dance-pop (About Damn Time, Levitating, CUFF It), or those Synthwave pop-rock Blinding Lights copies (As It Was, Stay, Thats What I Want, etc). And the odd pop-rock/punk songs have been more up-tempo like Good 4 U, abcde. That said I would love soft-rock to make a comeback on radio. 🤞

She should've received at least a Grammy for her career. I mean, Olivia's Sour recieved 2 Grammy and Let Go was such an iconic album and it had zero Grammy. It's obviously because she's not American. LG didn't win because she's Canadian. Alessia Cara is Canadian and she won BNA. Avril didn't win any Grammys in 2003 because of four things: 1) Not many people took her seriously. I myself didn't instantly warm up to her when I first saw her on MTV wearing baggy pants and a necktie. 2) She was a very polarizing figure. Her target crowd was teen and tween girls, and rock music purists hated her with a hot white passion. 3) Her songwriting contributions on LG were disputed. It didn't help that she had a falling out with The Matrix after she gloated about her own songwriting skills. 4) Pop-punk is a very niche sub-genre, and pop-punk artists are usually frowned upon by the industry. Green Day are the only exception, but how many awards have Blink-182 won? As a result, the Grammys gave all the awards to Norah Jones because it was the safest choice. FWIW even tho I was liddo back in 2003, I didn't know anyone who gave a **** about Norah Jones. As for Olivia, she's been earmarked as Taylor's successor. So naturally the industry will give her a bunch of awards. Beyonce is Beyonce. And P!nk has been making the most generic radio fluff since 2008. I personally believe a popgirl can get a hit at any age if she goes viral on TikTok. Kate Bush and Sia did that. In the past decade after EDM, radio mostly plays synthy pop songs, dance-y pop songs, rap-influenced pop songs, pop songs with computer-generated instrumentals by one-hit wonders (Sunroof), and pop trash by basic popboys (Ed, Harry, Shawn, Bieber, Maroon 5, Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic, Jonas Brothers, and BTS). Pop-rock has been dead since the late 00s. The only pop-rock songs that radio plays nowadays are cringe ones by Z-listers that manage to go viral on TikTok (abcdefu). And tbh good 4 u isn't pop-rock or pop-punk. It's a messy pop song with Lorde-like verses and a Paramore rip-off chorus. Edited February 10, 2023 by HBK-79

If that's the case, then there's still hope for Ramona after all. IAM would've made more noise if this girl wasn't such a flop throughout the 10s. OT: There are Swifties who think Lasagna is a fad, and call her 'Fadril'.
