Also it’s revisionist history to say Let Go wasn’t acclaimed  Let’s face it - it got 8 Grammy nominations over two award seasons. Yet she never won. Whatever about the music categories but she should have won best new artist and best female rock song in 2004. Imagine thinking Trouble is a better song than Losing Grip. That’s just tragic. 

And she deserves at least a nod each for UMS and TBDT era. You know, when song like Fall in Life can actually get a nod   . Show how bias Grammy is

Let Go and UMS are masterpieces, no explanation needed. 
 

Goodbye Lullaby is better than Adele’s 21, but not as good as Avril’s first three. 

 

Self-titled has some of Avril’s highest highs but some of her lowest lows. 

 

HAW is not as bad as the Avrilizers make it out to be - there are some questionable choices though. 
 

Love Sux is her best album since the first 3 albums. 

Avril Lavigne had Hello Kitty and that's all i can remember.   I almost forgot Give You What You like existed on the album

It is truly SO annoying. Her vocals are never going to be 2011 status again, but it’s clear that she can still give a great performance vocally by some of the HAW tracks (as tragic as the songs themselves may be).
 

Did Travis do vocal production on FU or just general production? Cause I do feel like she sounds better on that specific track than most of the others

HAW is her 3rd best album but ATRL is not prepare for this . HAW, TMIO, Birdie and even the scrapped songs like Bright, Lights Out and Break It So Good are better than 90% of the stuff she's been releasing since 2007 lol

Only heard the preview of Shelter so far... Flames felt superior, this one is more pop I guess?

Back in 2021 I gave "Internet Killed The Rockstar" a try... my expectations were in hell so overall the album wasn't THAT awful. In fact I still use Flames, Bones, Karma and Betterman.

The way he strains his voice in such an ugly way really bothers me . I feel like this album is overall worse than the last one, but I'll give it a try too, after all it has only 36min length

From the credits, I'd say she made most of the album with Mod and Feldy, and then Travis joined in to touch up on the production side of things, since he has production credits on every track (except Avalanche, Deja vu, Dare To Love Me and Break of a Heartache), but only co-wrote FU and I'm a Mess.

 

I'm all for distorting and applying effects when it makes sense (Bad Girl, Mercury, most of Love Sux, etc), but this is supposed to be a personal rock ballad 

 

Time to drop Feldy, I fear

 

Also time for her to write more songs on her own because Mercury is super enjoyable

Head Above Water wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be going off your comments in here. I liked / loved Head Above Water, Birdie, I Fell In Love With the Devil, Tell Me It’s Over, It Was In Me, Souvenir and Crush. It was definitely a very different album from her and her weakest so far, but I don’t think it was terrible. 
 

The only song I don’t understand was Dumb Blonde, it completely caught me off guard when it began to play. 
 

I’m about to press play on Love Sux now.
