Not Bubbling Under ?

Posted (edited)

Thank You for posting about the OST song that wasn’t acknowledged by Rihanna in any way and was added to the actual OST album a week later.

Meanwhile…

”Lift Me Up” is charting at #8 on the Hot 100 this week.

Expected a bit more for a song placed on TTH and from an artist that everyone has been begging to come back to make music again.

It's not a single. It's charting because it's the only other song on the WF soundtrack that is performed by Rihanna.

Don’t worry.

Your “expectations” will be met when R9 drops. Let’s try having that same conversation then.

I appreciate your concern for the soundtrack lullabies however.

The bit more you’re expecting is currently #8 on the Hot 100 and climbing :gaygacat1:

I guess not everyone can have the success of sountrack lullabies like INLA, ARUTW, ITA :gaycat1:

:bibliahh:

This has got to be the worst handled major comeback ever. Total waste of hype and anticipation on these boring nothing songs.

A smash :clap3:

Thanks to radio payola. Meanwhile:

#64 Spotify

#54 Apple Music

Less than a month after release. Her first single in years. Attached to a movie that's already grossed almost $300M.

It's a BOMB.

Didn't the person on your profile pic debuted HMH at #17 on the bubbling under.

Rihanna has plenty of time to grow the song if she even acknowledges it's exsistence.

I guess not.

It’s a shame that trend didn’t continue with her actual studio album, however.

Hopefully you’ll have the very same “concern” when said threads are made  regarding R9 and every album released by your fave since 2011.

It's a BOMB.

This week, it’s #3 on Digital Sales, #12 on Radio Songs and either #11-13 on Streaming Songs as it moved 12.5M streams (all round) - close to the top ten.

Your math isn’t mathing.

Thank you for the information though. Anything else baby?

I was wondering about this song. Anyway, a huge bomb. Rihanna's official comeback won't feel the same, tbh.

Why is that?

Mariah Carey releasing “It’s Like That” (which wasn’t a flop but not a massive hit) before “We Belong Together/Shake It Off/Don’t Forget About Us” didn’t hinder “TEOM” era. So why would “Lift Me Up”, a multi-week top ten Hot 100 hit with massive awards buzz, hinder the #R9 era.

She could’ve still dropped her lead single and people would’ve still moaned and shaded her had it not debuted at #1.

I don’t understand the logic. :rip:

Mariah was coming back from 2 flop eras. How is this comparable.

oh a non single didn't chart what a shocker

What Rihanna had to do was release and smash with her lead single from her own album, that way no one would've cared about these soundtrack songs, they would've been seen as a side project.
