MonsterJohn Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 I was so ready to vote for British But among those, Italian - stop putting cheese/tomato/olive oil/garlic/basil in every ******* thing guys I'm tired Chinese - oily mess. South East Asia's cuisine shits on that
nathanspears Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 (edited) I've only ever had one Thai curry and I hated it It's completely put me off Thai food. I hate coconut, lemon/lime, coriander, ginger! Edited November 21, 2022 by nathanspears
Blackthorn Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 (edited) It's strange to judge the cuisine of a whole country, as if the cuisine of a country was limited to 3 dishes or something lmao... Wish I could vote for None Edited November 21, 2022 by Blackthorn Have you guys even tasted every dish a country has to offer? bffr :skull:
Ewan Chaos Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 I guess Italian because it's the most overrated on the list but even then I feel like I'd specify Italian-American because I always hear how good the food actually is in Italy.
Cute Posted November 22, 2022 Posted November 22, 2022 from the poll: top 3: thai Japanese italian bottom 3: mexican indian french
A.R.L Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 (edited) The French cuisine gave us the best types of baked goods and desserts that you'll find in every supermarket in the world, so I don't find it overrated at all, even their pasta dishes are more delicious than the Italian ones. I don't like anything Asian except for sushi, but vegetarian Asian cuisine >>>>>>>>>>>> Also I find Mexican food very overrated in this forum, seriously nothing special with too many sauces, spicy food, and bread with rice. KillingYourCareer Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 French cuisine is nothing special, they're just the best at marketing themselves to gullible Americans. You won't find any French restaurants here for a reason

I mean, you can't say you've actually tried any of those cuisines unless you've been to those very countries. What you have where you live is just a bastardized version catering to the local tastes. I've been to the USA and I can confirm absolutely nothing about the Italian-American cuisine reflects what we have here - and it's first and foremost the ingredients. I tried making Italian stuff while there and it just didn't taste the same, because I had no access to Italian products.
terrorblade Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Korean kimchi tteokbokki bibimbap spicy noodles I CAN'T stand them all
The7thStranger Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 UK is pretty awful. Scandinavian is also not the tea, neither is French (for vegetarians).
KillingYourCareer Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 I've been to 35 countries, mostly European. The one where I had the objectively worst food was Finland, while for my subjective taste Bosnia-Herzegovina was bad (I hate onions and I don't eat beef, which they heavily use - I assume Serbia is the same, would love to visit still). 11 hours ago, terrorblade said: Korean kimchi tteokbokki bibimbap spicy noodles I CAN'T stand them all But yeah nothing from Korea sounds remotely inviting, especially when compared to neighboring China and Japan that have some of the best regional cuisines in the world
Letemtalk Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 British food if that was an option. No wonder they colonised about 90 countries or territories, otherwise they'd have no decent food at all. From the options, French food is the most overrated of them all. Thai food is one of the best and has no reason to be on this poll.
Kamil24 Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 I've never heard of soul food so I googled it, looks just like fast/junk food? So that one.

Pendulum Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 From my own personal taste and experience: Japanese and Dutch food My fave cuisines are Indian and Turkish! and I'd love to try Ethiopian food soon. Most overrated cuisine and one nobody is talking about is Balkan
