Zayn's solo career consists of Pillowtalk (debut single, hype from 1D), IDWLF (Taylor carried) and Dusk Til Dawn (Sia carried).

 

Charlie actually has hits.

It's clearly Charlie. Yes, Zayn had a bigger debut era & hit songs. But in terms of longevity it's Charlie, as his 2022 still went top 10 & he got himself a little hit this year with Light Switch.

This. Zayn had the most GP appeal from 1D due to his mysterious persona contradicting well with the teen pop of the band. How he + his label screwed it up that bad is for the history books honestly.
 

And he was always overlooked by their stans plus he broke them up so he had no fan base to fall on like harry/Niall/Louis.
