No, but Twitter will be the new Tumblr

I think Tumblr is beyond resurrection, it should be a new platform cause to be fair there's barely anything that directly competes with the format Twitter provides (aside from a couple niche nazi websites) or it should be Twitter at the hands of someone else when Elon sells it for half the price he paid.

tumblr will never have a full on resurgance 

 

it's like during lockdown when everyone went back onto Habbo Hotel for the first time in years, it was dead again a week later

 

unfortunately for social media once a user has been lost it's almost impossible to get them interested again unless you do a complete revamp

It’ll stay mostly dead. The navigation you get on Twitter doesn’t translate as well on Tumblr with how they’re used. When I first switched from Tumblr to Twitter years ago it took me a while to get over the difference, but I couldn’t imagine switching back today.

While I find Elon repulsive, Twitter clearly isn't going anywhere despite last night's fiasco. It's the best way for fans to mobilize and nothing else comes close. As far as Tumblr goes, it's beyond resurgence.

no. Tumblr was perfect at the time it blew up, 2012/2013 but social media is in a whole new space. that style of social media is irrelevant now, it’s all about quick form videos and watching people explain/dance to random sh*t thanks to TikTok. Tumblr is outdated and with or without the current Twitter mess is dead and not coming back.
