Well no of course I didn’t compare the popularities- but lbr, we all wish he would learn a lesson and twitter actually crashes, but even if it does…it will come back. There are way too many sleezy sponsors available, and the marketing of “omg we miss twitter! when is it coming back??” will be massive if needed.

It seems it was a publicity stunt gone wrong. Elon’s offer to buy Twitter was way way way over the market valuation of the platform. It seems his offer was basically a ploy to boost his celebrity and influence confidence his other ventures (i.e. Elon is an eccentric genius that can afford to buy Twitter? His Tesla/SpaceX etc. ventures must be great too!). 
 

He tried to back out after signing the contracts but Twitter was going to bring him to court to force his deal. So the deal went through and he saddled 13B dollars of debt on Twitter’s bank balance from his acquisition. Twitter has been losing money in recent years so it is impossible for it to make back the money. 
 

Make no mistake: Twitter would’ve survived fine without Elon’s purchase. His incredibly stupid acquisition has tanked the company and exposed Elon as an utter fraud. The hilarious thing is that Tesla’s stock was used to fund the acquisition. So once Twitter goes bust, Tesla will feel the sting. 
 

Basically, Elon ****** around and found out. It’s great to see although I liked Twitter.

Twitter was like the easiest social media app to not **** up. It just needed a few tweaks here and there but trying to overhaul everything about it, all at once, was a recipe for disaster.

 

The biggest mistake was Elon not realizing ALL social media companies big income comes from advertising.
