All anecdotal but I agree. During my freshman year of college, I lived in a residence hall where all guys shared the same bathroom and all girls shared the same bathroom. The guys' bathroom was actually relatively clean but there were girls constantly complaining in the floor group chat about people in their bathroom leaving their hygiene products in the shower stalls. There was even a time when someone complained because a girl left a tampon in the shower.

And I bet 1 poor soul out of the 7 kept cleaning up, and got sick and tired after the other 6 were taking advantage of him for it so he eventually gave up and nobody else STILL don’t care.

I had two female roommates at different times in my life & they were both nothing short of disgusting. One needed her bathroom (I had my own, thank god!) sink fixed when I was out of town & the plumber flat-out refused & called me to say it was gross. My sister growing up was so nasty. Now I live with 2 guys & we all clean. If you had 7 girls sharing 1 bathroom, it’d look like Chernobyl. Idk how or where girls get the audacity to keep spinning this fib that boys are so messy when they’re typically much, much worse
