Rigalo Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Not the doe eyed hating I can’t stop playing it…
Ewan Chaos Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Yeah this was pretty great. Early to say for sure but I think the first two tracks were my favorite... but we'll see. Only song I actively don't like is the last one
brooklyndaddy Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 My favorites are definitely MLC and WAIGDWY but every song is at least very good or great

luckystrike Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 lovely album!! I hadn't listened to any of the singles so I was kinda gagged at Crumbs, that + Look At You and What Am I Gonna Do With You are probably my trinity on first listen
TrueBlood Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Great album as expected. Doe Eyed is amazing, definitely the most underrated track. Love also the Poppy/Sleigh Bells influences on some tracks.

It's a good album, the only song I don't like too much is Performer but the rest is either ok, good, great or a masterpiece (Crumbs and Look At You are definitely the top tracks here).

I don't see it as a problem, but yeah, I'd say basically all the pop/rock tracks are very Poppy-influenced in a poppIer way. Mainly the first two tracks and WAIGDWY.
djcalpal Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 It's a smash. I'm supposed to see her in London tonight but am on Day 6 of testing positive for Covid. Missed the Tove Styrke show last night too. Why is this virus so homofauxbic?
ZORBIT Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 This is a great cohesive album Ms. Black loved Destroy Me instantly
305 Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 On first listen, I just kept saying "WOW" because of how unexpected the sound was. I have to give it another listen though
justin464 Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Haven't listened to much of her music before but I'm really enjoying this album! Erase You & WAIGDWY are definitely my favs

Saint James Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 she still needs more work vocally imo. going for a gentler tone works but there’s a lot of people doing that moody electronic stuff. solid album as expected. looking forward to spending more time with it.
blastoisebaby Posted February 11, 2023 Posted February 11, 2023 Honestly this is a redemption arc. Ever since Foolish,I knew she’d eventually drop an amazing debut. I mean Doe eyed,MLC,Performer,Cry Hard Enough and Crumbs. GOD TIER. I’m so happy for her
