Lose My Breath Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 This was totally expected, and normal.
Holiest Dreams Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Bringing up the drops of songs from years ago like Hello, LWYMMD, or ME! doesn’t hold any weight here. Radio audiences were 2, 3, even 4x bigger back then. Dropping 20m from rolling effect in 2022 is nothing like dropping that much back then. It’s inconceivably worse.

What were the total number of people listening to radio weekly back then compared to now? Not just the top 10 etc..
MexicanLiLMonster Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Anyone remember where Born This Way debuted on radio? I remember it had a huge debut, maybe top 10 as well, and it actually reached number 1 on radio for a week then plummeted.

simmnfierzig Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 (edited) 18 minutes ago, Cloröx said: What answer do you want? Well its possible that radio just plays a lot more different songs now than 10 years ago.... I dont think thats the case. Maybe some, but for streaming it is the case. The #1 on the Billboard streaming chart is also down a lot, but overall streams are up Edited November 7, 2022 by simmnfierzig
Raphy23 Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 (edited) Radio very badly wanted new Rihanna. Radio doesn’t want to keep playing this song (at least not as much as of did first week). Edited November 7, 2022 by Raphy23
