Bhabylon Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Cancel the rest of this generic franchise while you're at it
rp662 Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Not surprised. The Conjuring 2 was a long while ago and we are up to the 4th now in development. These spin-off’s need a quick release to capitalize on the hype a la The Nun and Annabelle.
Gossip_Boy Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Aw that’s sad. He’s my favorite demon from the Conjuring universe and was excited for a story related to him. I wonder what’s the reason the project ended up getting scrapped.
stjosephprey4us Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 It seemed like an interesting idea but they must not have been able to come up with a good script Conjuring 1 > Annabelle prequel > The Nun > Annabel Comes Home > Conjuring 3 > Conjuring 2 > Annabel > La Llorona
Zoomer Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 It never had the hype of Annabelle or The Nun. It’s presence in The conjuring 2 was random and unexplained. That said, you’d think it could still be a box office smash just by relation, and WB needs the money. I wonder why they chose to drop it.
scenekiller Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 None of the Conjuring universe movies are good outside of the actual Conjurings anyway (minus Annabelle: Creation of course) so we didn't lose anything of value
Rocket0212 Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Most of these movies are so forgettable. I only remember what happened in Conjuring 2, The Nun and kinda the one with creepy bride. I can't believe there are 3 Annabelle movies, I don't remember anything at all.
Gottasadae Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Good, they should to do the same with second part of the nun
GentleEarthquake Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Was there even hype for this? He's not even as known as miss Valak

If they had followed up in like 2017-18, he would’ve slayed. I feel they would’ve made a decent script whilst Nun obviously fell to your typical tropes.
Lion Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 I was still excited for it but it was obviously stuck in development hell ?
genetic fail Posted November 6, 2022 Author Posted November 6, 2022 The Crooked Man > Valak > Annabelle I wonder if the Scarecrow movie has been cancelled too.
madonnafan18 Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 There wasn't much hype for it so this is understandable.
Oktober Knight Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 Eh this was expected. It was giving me flop vibes anyway. I'd much rather them focus on The Nun 2 and Conjuring 4.
