1989 sweetie… for starters, this era isnt gonna last over 2 years unlike 1989. And thats bc other than anti hero, there are no bonafide hits thatll carry it. tik tok will move on to catchier and boppier stuff within a few months.

1989, because she gave that era time to marinate in the spotlight. The Midnights era won’t have longevity because she’s going to move on to the next re-recording next year most likely.

Let’s assume Anti Hero is a BS/SIO sized smash. If there’s another huge smash from Midnights and the tour gross beats 1989 (which is highly likely), it will be very close. So the key right now is to push a post-album release single to smash level. Super hard to do in a streaming era though.
