I deactivated my account today. I know it won't matter at all in the grand scheme of things, but still. Hopefully if even a tiny percentage of people leave it will, at the very least, temporarily make a few people sweat. 

 

I liked his public statement about how he wants to protect the platform from becoming a far-left and far-right echo chamber - a problem that should have been taken care of years ago - and am looking forward to seeing how he can aid the filter bubble issue. But the part of his statement in which he said Twitter won't become a free for all where anything goes is at odds with other statements he's given. Trump can't incite a deadly riot and Kanye can't declare "death con 3" on Jews on any self-respecting platform with an ounce of civility. I may consider making a new account if those two aren't unbanned, but he's signaled multiple times that he would unban them. We'll see!
