I’m more annoyed by aggravating customers who act entitled, ask stupid questions, and have family reunions in the middle of every aisle. 1000% this. I worked in retail all throughout uni for like 3/4 years and people have no idea what it’s like I was in a higher end store, but still the amount of abuse, entitlement and rudeness for customers I had to endure was insane. these customers don’t realize that we all make fun of them when they act a fool. sure, some employees can be nasty for no reason but 99% of the time the problem is the customers
Cain Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 You sound horrible and an obsession like that over a everyday interaction would indeed warrant a visit to the psych

DAP Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 No, retail workers need to be even nastier to costumers actually

Follow her socials and keep tabs on her daily activities. Leave nice comments on her posts until she is acquainted by your positive presence. After a while, start DMing her and befriend her. Eventually, she will tell you the details of her new job. Then you go on LinkedIn again and expose her past behaviour to her new managers. Don't forget to exaggerate and lie to worsen her image. Meanwhile, you keep being her online "friend" and emotional support. Concurrently, hire someone to follow her around in real life and to wait until she is alone. Then have that someone trip her over and walk on her ankles. This will be her karma for not wanting to exchange your shoes and exposing you to more foot pain. All of these will cause her distress and she will turn to you for more support. But this is when you dip and leave her alone with her troubles. Disable your account, and savor the sweet justice that has been served.
Negev Posted October 27, 2022 Posted October 27, 2022 I'm not going to say what I think about your behavior as others already pointed it out. She must've followed store policy, retail is extremely hard work with many hours and insufficient pay, she didn't deserve this. Do better next time.
1DES Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 I worked retail and customers like you are one the reasons I hated going into work.

Indeed.com has a lot of options. Bitchy customers are why I got away from bitchy customers too. People like to complain what can we do? Either submit or avoid lol

At least the part of the employee getting fired. Either the op made it up or they were lied to. i highly doubt they were able to reach anyone or anyone important enough to fire someone over that through LinkedIn. weak points on the story: did the op even go to the store to check if they really were fired? Did they even get a refund for the smelly shoes? Either way, sounds like the OP needs serious help Edited November 1, 2022 by dirrtydiana
Bubble Tea Posted November 1, 2022 Posted November 1, 2022 Gurl that complete overreaction and disgusting behaviour towards that worker, you should be ashamed. You think minimum wage workers have free reign over a store's stock and can offer replacements and refunds as you please? I don't know what the law is in your cracked country but at least in mine, a store has the right to repair, replace or refund a faulty product, and it is entirely up to them on which they pursue, not to say they'd completely ignore the customers request. Getting someone fired over something so petty and still fuming like... get a life, you're a horrible psychotic person.
Robert Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 (edited) Your reaction was completely OTT. Just complain to customer service and get your refund then move on. Do you really want this person to starve during a cost of living crisis over a shoe? That being said it sounds fake especially in Europe. Edited November 2, 2022 by Robert
