duybeeGAshantiGA Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Ariana could hold the title for so long. already a HUGE FEAT!
duybeeGAshantiGA Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Taylor's catalogue is too HUGE with so many rereleases tho. She is also benefited with constant releases.

Not this excuse already here when Taylor was absent from Spotify prior to 2017. She gave the other girls a head start.
Ricky Wilson Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Ariana Grande makes music for the charts and her catalog already sounds dated, this isn't surprising

Girl, at least do some research before just babbling out stuff Taylor’s entire catalogue was unavailable from Spotify till MID 2017, she has a huge disadvantage if anything since everyone and their mothers have been on Spotify since it begun. And even if what you said was true (it isn’t) you can put out dozens of albums and still not be abke to achieve this feat, it’s called having DEMAND.
lcylcy Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 she just did?! with THAT many albums released in the streaming era?!

Swiftie07 Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 (edited) Here we go again with the number of releases to discredit her success. Had Taylor remained on Spotify, Ariana wouldn't even touch that top spot. Edited October 25, 2022 by Swiftie07

She only had 5 years to accumulate this where everyone else had like 8-9 years. Taylor withheld her catalogue from Spotify for 3 years, during the peak of her career too (the 1989 era6

Nobody is stopping other artists from doing it, look at Drake It's a massive achievement, Taylor wasn't even on streaming until like 2017
Holiest Dreams Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 The usual excuses Also, Taylor already surpassed Ariana almost two months ago. This is ‘overall credits’ which is a stan-made thing, it doesn’t exist - Spotify itself doesn’t track that or count it, neither does the RIAA, etc.
cityfolk Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 good for her, huge achievement and she's been shattering Spotify for a while now 4 minutes ago, Holiest Dreams said: The usual excuses Also, Taylor already surpassed Ariana almost two months ago. So no, she didn't pass her completely two months ago, she just did. Insane nonetheless! Massive record-setting era so far

Spotify wasn't big in 2015-2016 like it is now. The first song that reached 1B was One Dance in early 2017. In early 2018 the most streamed artist on Spotify was Drake with only 12-13B . Just accept that the 5 albums she released in the past 2 years did amazing things to her discography, I mean she was doing 10M daily streams before Folklore release. If that wasn't already clear, spotify, the official sponsor for FC Barcelona, created a shirt with Drake's logo and the number 50 at the back to celebrate him becoming the first artist to reach 50M streams. Notice how they didn't use the 70M 'all credits' figure. This was less than two weeks ago btw
Cesar Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 taylor has double almost triple the amount of albums so it was only a matter of time!

Not you counting remix albums and jazz albums as the same thing as full studio releases. Top Gun she has 1 song
