200k is still too much, she would've had to have way more vinyls or something out and ready and I don't think she had them, weren't y'all saying that she didn't have stock?

No Streams are going to keep declining a bit. She will probably average around 60-70M a day for the rest of the week. So yes she will break the overall record but not by that much.

She would not have blocked Adele either way. On top of that, Taylor is shrewd and has a PR machine that is second to none. She knows releasing along side Adele would be a media spectacle that would probably see her cast as the villain trying to be opportunistic.

Then why did Adele schedule for a day Taylor had announced 6 months in advance if she knew this would be the outcome

That wouldn’t have been the problem. I’m talking about the tactics that would have been used to try and secure the #1 would have been messy. Especially since Adele wouldn’t have done anything extra.
