base talk SZA vs. Cardi: Who's second album is dropping first?

Ctrl (2017) and Invasion of Privacy (2018) were arguably the biggest debut albums in the female R&B and Rap communities for the 2010s decade. However, both artists have failed to deliver a sophomore album despite both continuously dropping stand-alone singles (or "droplets") throughout the past few years. As to why an album from either of these stars hasn't hit the general public can be dissected into an entire essay, but that's for another day.

 

Looking at 2022 alone, both Cardi and SZA have offered select collaborations and singles throughout the year. Cardi with "Hot Sh*t" and Glorilla collaboration "Tomorrow 2", SZA with the highly anticipated upcoming single "Shirt" and Doechii collaboration "Persuasive". Both artists have also been doing festivals this year with fans hoping that their second studio albums will finally see a release sometime in the next upcoming months.

 

With that in mind, it begs the question, which album do we think is dropping first?

The fact they shouldve been at SZA3 and CB3 by now 

 

I think Cardi B is too scared to flop and wont ever drop a second album… Shes so dumb. She literally had the perfect opportunity to roll out an album in 2020 

 

Same goes for SZA, shes still stuck in a loop of messiness. It would take a miracle for her to ever release music again. I honestly dont think Cardi B will ever release another album i mean that. I think SZA might drop it first but dont expect it to happen anytime
 

Both have a Lauryn Hill complex me fears

OT - Cardi is the only real contender here with an excuse - 2 babies and a million lawsuits later she might be getting ready to do something. Meanwhile SZA is sat reading ATRL threads. Either which way they'll both come before Sky Ferreira

You guys really believe SZA won't ever drop her album? I feel that with Shirt coming out, the album will be released shortly after (3-4 weeks). Cardi is not dropping till she gets another smash hit.
