Gabe² Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 Hello everyone, it seems I am experiencing hair loss probably due stress. As far as I read, it seems it could at least 6 to 9 months before it starts growing back (if it grows back). I wanted to ask, if you know of any hair successful hair growth treatments you have used before? what happened to you? what worked for you? how long it took? help me in my time of needs

Took a few months Finasteride can have some serious side effects, because it mess up your hormones. Please read about it before you use it, op. But the only effective stuff is Finasteride or/and Minoxidil.

Yves Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 You should see a dermatologist so he or she can prescribe the proper treatment for your case. However, for my situation, my dermatologist told me to use a finasteride scalp lotion in the mornings (this doesn't cause erectile dysfunction since it's topical) and Minoxidil in the evenings. I also visit her monthly for injections to further stimulate hair growth.
JoeAg Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 do some inversion method tbh, lay upside down on your bed with your head hanging over the edge for 5 minutes while doing a scalp massage with a mixture of coconut oil and rosemary oil on your fingers! i do it every night and it honestly works wonders in addition to that, i’d look into prose products. sh*t’s dope. ALSO the roots hair mask from lush is EXCELLENT and even though the label says to leave it on for 20 minutes, i’d go for at least 90 ? rice water treatments and castor oil treatments can also work well sparingly…
IBeMe Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 (edited) only LEGIT proven treatment is finasteride and minoxidil but they both have intense side effects (lowers sperm count, causes erectale dysfunction and minoxidil can cause some heart issues even if it is just a topical on the scalp). Rosemary oil and a dermapen / derma stamp weekly can help but it does not usually bring back dead hair. It just thickens what you already have and strengthens it which is good. it also makes the hairs thicker which gives the appearance of a higher hair count which helps. Overall the best combo is finasteride, minoxidile, rosemary oil and dermastamping once a week BUT the first two are honestly risky AF. If you decide to go with them you should really be cautious about the side effects in like your first month or two of using them and the minute you notice some weird side effects tell your doctor and ask to be off the meds as soon as possible. You'll lose more hair by the way if you start those two and then stop using them so you REALLY have to be careful with your choice. They are life long commitments and can be costly too. So choose wisely. In my opinion, I am starting to have a bit too many hairs falling when I shower and though my hair seems ok I think I should prob start it early to avoid damaging my hairline. So I'll prob be on minoxidile and finasteride and do the dermastamping and rosemary but i'll only do it for like 2 decades. I'm close to my mid twenties soon so i'll only really care about my looks through the rest of my twenties and 30s. By my like mid 40s i'll prob give up a bit and just stop taking both and accept baldness should it come. Mid 40s is a reasonable age to accept possibly being bald or having a receded hairline. To have those issues show up as early as your 20s or 30s is deffinetly not something one has to accept and fighting it is reasonable. We're in the peak of our beauty in our 20s and 30s so we wanna enjoy them right? And losing hair can be an insecurity (even though lots of bald guys are hot AF) but yeah...if your hair is a big part of your looks and if you really care about it then fight for it but if its not too important then I say just learn to accept it. The side effects and long term costs to keep your hair using finasteride and minoxidile are not worth it if it's not something so important to you. Edited October 18, 2022 by IBeMe
Ombre Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 (edited) It depends what kind of hair loss it is...If it ks diffuse thinning there is hope. However, if is is male pattern baldness there is absolutely nothing that can be done. Even finasteride and minoxidil can only slow down the process if hair loss is aggressive. It can't really reverse it. Once a hair follicle is gone due to MPB it is gone and there is no bringing it back. Edited October 18, 2022 by Ombre

Anything happened to you? you shouldn't go on and use pills right away My advice is to go to a derm to find out the cause (genes, vitamin deficiency etc) so you can get the best treatment maybe you'll end up just needing PRP injections

Also would rosemary be enough. I was also wondering is lying upside down done for circulation and blood flow or?
HeddaO Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 I had the same problem with hair loss, including body hair, due to stress. It came back “accidentally” after B12 injections last year. But it started thinning and shredding again a few months ago and still hasn’t stopped, unfortunately it’s due to stress again.

But I guess it depends on the person. You can try it and stop if you experience any side effects.
Raphy23 Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 (edited) Also I saw someone mention circulation. Try eating a lot of beets. I boil a pot of them and they'll last me for a week. If you don't like eating beets then you can mix beat extract/powder with juice or water. My fingers, feet, and toes used to be freezing cold because of bad circulation, and now they never are, and bad/low circulation will also cause balding/thinning. Edited October 18, 2022 by Raphy23

Never used Minoxidil, because the effect (fuller hair) immediately disappears, when you stop using it. Finasterid is working fine for me. No side effects. I think my hair is thicker and I have less hair loss, but well this is always hard to answer.
