My question is why didn't all these people buy an album? She should have a 3 million plus week opening with Midnights. What they should have done is everyone who bought merch through her site (whether 1 cd or a lot) have a special code to buy tickets if they wanted tickets.

Last album I bought is 1989 but I want to see this tour and I went to the rep tour. What is strange?. People buyed 1.1M albums in 2022 when everyone sells 100K and it's considered huge. There is clearly a new generation of fans in the 15-25 target and they don't buy cds.

if the request is the double yes they are too less. But at the same time you're right, she can make the exact numbers of shows the request needs cause she have to make other countries and also because she's not a machine. They're the same then complaining if she won't make the right promotion for a Speak now re release lol

Speaking about Gaga I think she made few shows cause she has scheduling conflicts with her movie roles.

There should have been a special presale for people who had Lover Fest tickets instead of just an alleged "boost."

I am wondering how her team so horrendously underestimated the demand for tickets and scheduled so few shows. Or maybe they knew the demand was there and didn't care to meet it. Don't give me any of that "52 shows is already so many" nonsense, either. If Elton John can get his ancient ass on stage 93 nights a year, Taylor can manage more than 52 if she cares to.

I see people saying that she should add more dates or a second US leg, but I don't see how that would really solve anything. Adding more shows still won't meet the demand, it won't address TM's stressful incompentent marketplace, and it won't quiet the criticism about the pricing. If anything, there would just be more drags about how no concessions were made to "apologize" for this ****show; do you really think people would be like "oh, it was so nice of you to add more shows so we could also buy VIP tickets behind the stage for $600 plus $150 in fees"?

I think the VIP ticketing is the thing that infuriates me most about all of this. They advertised two price ranges: general ($50-$450) and VIP ($200-$900). One would naturally assume that the majority of tickets would be general and plan their budget accordingly. But then you get into the presale and discover nearly everything is VIP. No option to opt out of it, either. Such a scam.

Ticketmaster could have avoided a lot of this mess if they simply had not sent out so many presale codes and staggered the presale by venue rather than time zone. Like, they still wouldn't have met the demand and there'd be crying stans everywhere and tickets would still have been overpriced, but all of the wait times and website malfunctions are what really drew attention to everything. They truly brought this on themselves.

Also seriously side eying the performative sympathy from fans who got tickets to multiple shows. You're part of the problem, Rebekah.

Elton John mostly sits during his shows :rip: do you want to attend Taylor shows like that?

Some of you sound really stupid. Taylor is not a robot. She's already pulling insane runs with 4-5 shows day to day. Do you have any idea how exhausting it is? She's not Ed who just roams around in a guitar.

That long essay is truly bizzard. Compare Elton 90 shows to this tour.

Artists dont own their life to serve you guys. Touring is a mentally and physically challenging. Surely theres big money but she is clearly doesnt need more money.

If i am that rich, i already dip and enjoy life in private lol. And you also see most of major artists lose their passion over the year. So im just glad Taylor who already accomplish so much in the past 16 years and still have so much passion to release so frequently and now go on a big tour. 52 stadium shows in the US is already a lot, now maybe she adds another 20 shows to solften the US fans. But she also needs to do some shows for international fans.

Im always joke about unstanning if she doesnt step foot in South East Asia for this tour. But in the end, im a fan mainly because of the music and her mental health come 1st.

Not “She can’t perform more shows than this because it’s exhausting” :skull: I know the homos on this site don’t know it, but there are normal people who work very physically demanding jobs 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, for many years of their lives :deadbanana:

I am almost positive they are scrambling to add more dates and then announce a new, staggered presale for those dates + the remaining tickets. It’s what She needs to turn the PR situation around.

please not this weak populism. Performing a big show in front of 70K people while you are travelling all the time, and you have to be at the best of physical and mental form, is not like going to the office. There is a huge disparity in the salary and the one performing pop music is the priviliged one?. Yes, still this doesn't change 8 hours in an office are not like playing a game in a football match and why athletes makes only 1 game at week, two in expectional situations.

You're saying working in an office is as demanding as performing?

Because he is 75, i don't know why we are comparing him to artists in their 30s or 40s. Him playing 400 shows is impressive enough :rip:

If you will compare with artists in their 30s, P!nk was doing acrobatics and did 150 dates in 2 years.

Let alone other artists, 1989 Tour had 85 shows in less than a year. So did Red Tour. Reputation tour was an anomaly for Taylor. Acting like Taylor is incapable of playing more than 50 shows if she wants to is soo...

Another US leg is definitely happening after all the international dates methinks. She'll probably close the tour with it.

Are you people brain dead? I literally just said working physically demanding jobs, not working in an office. Holy **** :ahh: Do you ******* cupcake Swifties even know what a physically demanding job is?

Swifitieism is a disease of the mind for some, truly.

You could at least try arguing that the logistics of a huge tour are very complicated, which is true, to be fair.

I can’t believe I learned such interesting facts today! There are only TWO types of jobs in the world: performing in a stadium or working in an office. I love learning.

Nobody said "she cant perform more shows cause its exhausting".

But the point is she already doing more than the bare minimum. 52 stadium dates in the US alone is already insane.

So whether she wants to do more or not, its up to her, its her mental & physical health, lets her make that decision. Screaming and demanding she has to do more and more because xyz can do x amount shows is entitled.

Posted

I think the answer to what people are asking her to do or insisting that she should do this can be summed up in one line....why should she? :skull:

everyone including her fans just hold such a higher standard for Taylor, it's kinda ridiculous.. you really can't say they're keeping same energy to her compared to other artists.

it's not necessarily "wrong" but people are just way overdramatic, that's why I can't help but being on her side all the time. like they already do so damn much.

Posted

To be fair, we don't know her touring schedule post August 2023.

So maybe she has like 20 more (international) shows scheduled for the 2nd half of the year, so that'd be over 70 shows in a calendar year, which is more in line with, if not even more than comparable stadium acts like Coldplay and Ed Sheeran.

But still, I think the least she could do is add 3rd dates to every US city with only 2.

She's already doing at least 2 shows every week, so I don't think doing 3 everywhere would be that much of a stretch for her.

It still wouldn't meet demand ofc, but it's better than nothing.

That’s literally what people are saying lmfao.

I am not demanding more shows. She is more than free to perform as many shows as She wants. And I genuinely don’t blame

Her for how Ticketmaster handled this at all. She doesn’t need to tour at all, obviously. But cupcake Swifties basically going “b-b-but S-s-she couldn’t p-possibly handle more dates, She already does so much for us :cries:” are just… :skull:  It blows my mind that people do not understand there are far more taxing jobs in the world besides touring and working in an office.

But trust and believe She will be adding more dates where logistically possible lol. There is nothing She hates more than bad press and people not being happy with Her.

When you're so passionate about someone/relationship and it didnt turn out the way you want, it can get toxic. But some fans really need a reality check. She cannot satisfy that many people, and not everything is in her power.

Posted

I definitely think a plan is being devised for how to address the situation, but she really is in a spot where nothing will make everyone happy and many will still be mad at her for not getting tickets because it's easier to blame the person who is the face of their brand than a complex ticketing monopoly scam structure. And like people genuinely cannot wrap their mind around the math of how insane the demand is, the devil company saying she'd need 900 stadium shows is definitely exaggerated from where things would actually stand but she truly could probably sell out at least 200, which is obviously never happening.

She's not feasibly gonna do like 30 more U.S. dates (which wouldn't even give everyone tickets or quell demand), realistically maybe she'll add like 5 or 6 more shows. I think maybe they'll go back to the slow ticketing or something else for those sales.

Posted

Adding more shows that were not originally on the schedule is impossible, it's a stadium tour (by default a logistics nightmare), 52 shows is pretty insane considering there's also a rather tight timeframe for a stadium tour to be viable - summer. Actually I don't recall another artist doing as many stadium shows on a single US leg ever (for reference Ed has only announced 21 shows for his current tour).

Adding a second leg in US is the only solution to that.

i wonder if that would help, if the leg is on another year wouldn't that feel like a new opportunity for most of the fans that were able to get tickets for the first leg? so the demand would stay the same?
