me if I had the worst taste of all time

I like the song but I don’t think it adds anything to the folklore act, but you’re right I’d ACTUALLY cut YNTCD and the Man but realistically blondie ain’t doing that

Evermore set being glorious, she didn’t even sing the more upbeat ones (Closure, long story, short, gold rush, NBNC) and yet it’s still not boring unlike folklore’s.

UGH the superior alt album.

Mastermind is a great track but I think it’s the least needed performance of the Midnights Act, imo. VS would’ve been my initial thought but it’s actually a serve :gaycat6:  In reality we could cut Bad Blood, Invisible String, Marjorie, or WANEGBT and make room for YOYOK, Long Live, Back to December, or Sparks Fly. But I guess that’s me nitpicking lol

Yep, Mastermind is an amazing track but not really a song to sing on tour, the studio version is amazing but it's quite flat sonically. I also don't love VS but yes, she makes up for it with the performance :lakitu: I would also cut Bad Blood and WANEGBT, and again, I also adore those songs you mentioned, realistically we deserved at least Long Live and Mean/Sparks Fly.

you're on you own kid is the perfect closer and she knows it cause if i heard right it's the first song played when the show ends.

Probably she tried it and after 3 and half hours it was too difficult to sing it.

While karma and other songs are good with a lot of pre rec base (you just want to hear like they are in the record, they are not song you care about the singing abilty) that's a song you have to sing or doesn't make a lot of sense.

But i mean as closing song she could just sit and let the people sing it while images were on the screen :michael:

Still not over that The Archer is in the set list (and The Man + YNTCD).

the show is really narrative and the archer makes sense to close the act.

Yea, I’m hoping she cuts some folklore or Lover and pads on some Speak Now later in the spring when she hopefully announces the TV release date for it :chick3: Even if that’s unfair to the shows that only got Enchanted I want more Speak Now songs eventually

i don't know according to every reviews the show is full of details and the work of a narrative master who brings you upon detailed chapters of a story.

But if you know better by not have been there good for you.

why do you think madjorie is there? Cause it's her career celebration story and the song is important cause the woman was an inspiration to became a music artist. So you get medjorie and not Dorothea for a reason.

The Archer is there cause it's a pivotal song in the narrative of her works, while some song you want insteead of it it's just another love song like others 350 songs she has made (and she already performs on the show).

the only reason her not singing YOYOK is surprising to me is because she does all 3 previously unperformed track 5s. once she did MTR, I was like ain’t no way we don’t get YOYOK instead we got Mastermind. It’s cute but it doesn’t serve like YOYOK could.

YOYOK is forgotten and mid. Not surprised she snubbed it, her taste :swan:

The show is a return to the Broadway storytelling style of the Fearless, Speak Now, and Red tours rather than the extravagant choreographed pop that is the rep tour, but I'm still holding out hope that she's gonna swap some songs for others each tour stop.

I would love it if The Man and YNTCD would be rotated with other songs but they feature full-on production and theatrical choreography so I sadly think they're mainstays.

The archer has minimal production so it can be rotated with False god, afterglow and Cornelia Street, songs with the same ~dreamy feel.

Tis the damn season can be rotated with Ivy, Evermore, cowboy like me and gold rush.

Marjorie can be a rotational song but I doubt it since it seems to be an emotional centerpiece of the show.

Enchanted can be rotated with Long Live since they both fit the princess dress and fairytale aesthetic.

Invisible string can be replaced by exile, peace, the lakes or the 1 on different dates since they're also tranquil songs and the staging is not as elaborate as the other folklore performances.

Cardigan has a simple performance but it's the lead single so I don't think she'll rotate it.

Mastermind has the simplest staging and choreography of the Midnights act, so I wouldn't put it past her if it'll be rotated with other Midnights tracks that share its timpo, mainly Maroon and labyrinth.

This is obviously wishful thinking but she's a very hardworking perfectionist so I could see her do this if she wants to truly celebrate her entire discography, and she'll still have plenty of songs for the guitar/ piano surprise songs.

Would have preferred Cornelia Street to close the act, but honestly she does 44 songs so I can't really be choosy haha

evermore section is literally perfection :jonny5: she could replace marjorie with gold rush but I love both of them so I dont care

Now announce the international dates blondie :'( I wont be purchasing a ticket (cant afford that **** for sure) but maybe Im lucky

You’re right and you should say it :gayorkcat2:

So when is the dvd rip coming out? I like the theatrical ones she did for the evermore and folklore segments, wish she just toured the last 4 albums instead of playing the same old songs again 🙄

Which streaming service do we want this show to be on?

Disney? Netflix? HBO?

probably hulu which is disney for most of the world since someone missed up and there was something with the tour name scheduled for last week but nothing happened...

Me too. I’ve been putting RFI on repeat and tried to copy her cvnt walk/step-choreo. :deadbanana:

that part with the THAT outfit and the dancers wearing matching outfits was something else :jonny:

The evermore section is better than the folklore section for sure. I think the set feels more unique for each song except maybe marjorie

I think it's perfectly fine for people to sit during these two btw. It's a 3+ hour long show. You can't expect people to stand the entire time

Imagine thinking YOYOK would not be a perfect closer for the show... a biographical song depicting the journey from a young age and challenges she's faced through her career, all building up to a climax where she's literally playing at a massive stadium show :jonny5: that's pretty epic if you ask me

YOYO,K (and Long Live) are like the entire concept of the Eras tour condensed into a song. It’s crazy she chose songs like Mastermind and The Man over them.

I feel so bad for the people who'll be near me during Cruel Summer couse it's gonna be a duet with me and her :gaycat7:

I really want to understand her thoughts process for choosing certain songs cause there's a lot that do NOT make sense. Other than the two you posted; 22, Bad Blood, invisible string, WANEGBT, tolerate it, TLGAD, and my biggest critique is choosing Vigilante **** over MAROON?! Like seriously what is that :rip:

No cause I was shouting the bridge and final chorus so loud I kind of felt bad for the people in front of me :skull:

Vigilante **** was one of the best performances and the audience got enough snooze songs during Folklore, we didn’t need another with Maroon

Lol bye, nobody thinks it's a snooze since it's her best album. The tour is for fans hence "Eras", Maroon is the best song on Midnights while VS is the worst. Next.
