She did the right thing.. should’ve been postponed since early this morning though and spare today’s concertgoers from the hell of of lining up for hours under the suffocating sun and heat.

Yeah cant understand why they waited this long. Perhaps they wanted to make sure they could postpone it

Glad she postponed, as disappointed as she may be and some fans, the temperatures are just too dangerous to perform in and for the fans to be packed in.

Thank god. No mention of another date. I wish she'd just cancel this Rio leg and go home.

It's worse than yesterday. I saw a video of her on stage right after bejeweled ended she was gasping for air and looked like she was about to pass out.

No offense to her/her team but they obviously knew the weather for the today. And after what happened last night, I'm shocked they did not announce the cancelation way earlier. Very unfair to everyone who is there. This is also setting up for other artists definitely never going to Brazil.

All of these international stadiums with GA pits are crazy. They should have  assigned seating.

well all those US shows with assigned seating (and insane prices) are crazy. they should all be GA :cm:

all these takes from americans who have no idea how concert culture is outside their country and want to impose their way of doing things is so crazy :rip:

They tried to provide better conditions and safety measures (her team btw, organizers are full of BS) but it seems it wasn't enough to take the risk. Everybody can go home safely now at least. Yeah it sucks but I'm so shocked at some these people camping in the heat since 8 am. Like at some point you gotta take care of yourself. Wtf

My heart goes out to the Brazilian swifties 😭 esp the ones that have waited all their life and spent so much money for the show

This is not Brazil's fault, any country can suffer from heat waves. They tried to make today's concert a better experience for everyone involved but sadly it wasn't enough. This is an awful situation but it's out of their hands.

hate to say it but I kinda agree with this

why did they wait until now to cancel, they probably must be considering it since the second the show ended last night

Tonight's show is rescheduled to Monday (when there's due to be light rain, but still 30c+ heat)

I hate GA concerts… it’s inhumane having to be all squeezed like cattle.

Probably because the venue and event organizers weren't giving them clearance to cancel? Do y'all think they can just magic wand this and say "nah, we're not going to do the show" and that's the end of it :skull:

These contracts they sign are iron-clad, they were probably waiting until insurance cleared.

I said Rio...she was going home after Rio anyway. She doesn't stay between stops.

Well there rumors all day she didn't wanna play and the organizers were fighting for it to continue idk. Just glad it's over with no one harm. That should be everyone's priority for now. It's just till Monday so I'm sure they'll try to accommodate ticket holders like they did for the Argentina postponement.

Considering and deciding are two different things. If they postponed it now even with all these people in the stadium they must have a reason

People were starting to pass out again, once many went to the emergency tents the decision was made.

where did you see it will be "heavy"?

Feel bad for the fans but it had to be rescheduled. I don’t know who has the final say on these things but I agree there was plenty of information to make the decision way sooner
