Me and my sister only started queuing up like 20 minutes before doors and got very good places near the GA barricade at the Mex City show :deadbanana2:there’s no need to be there hours before. Please stay safe, take care of yourselves

If something happens tonight (god forbids) it’s going to be a PR nightmare because something already happened last night and I don’t think just allowing bottled water is enough to prevent tragedy.

The thermal sensation outside is 45c/115f… the stadium is going to be an oven with General Admission crowd on top of each other.  It’s simply not safe today

So the firefighters are spraying the crowds in line with water. Is that a good idea? That just looks like it’s going to make things worse with humidity after the sun heats up (rather quickly) the water on the ground. I thought there was suffocation potential in cases like that. Anyone knowledgeable with crowd management know if it’s a sensible thing to do?

Wouldn't temperatures have to be close to 100ºC for that to happen?  This really helps a lot because your body doesn't have to sweat as much and water retention is increased.

You don't need to reach anywhere close to 100°C for water to evaporate.

But anyway, I don't think firefighters would be spraying the crowds if that didn't make things better.

Yeah, I think it helps if they keep doing it. I hope they have something similar inside the stadium.

I was there yesterday and it was really a not good experience.

I mean, the show was amazing and Tay was really happy. But the organization really ****** it up

The reputation set was really LIT. My fav

All of these international stadiums with GA pits are crazy. They should have  assigned seating.

Good lord. I've done several (7) stadium shows in the pit, and I've never seen a crowd like that. Is it normal in Brazil to not have any space at all in concert?

That's pretty much the experience in GA, in concerts and in festivals. The closer you try to get to the stage, the more squeezed you get, you can barely jump or dance, people are pushing and shoving around you... it's not fun.

Isn't this from last night? I think the doors aren't open yet? I would rather go home or stand somewhere in the back than be in that crowd.

I think they oversold these shows :(

So, water bottles have been allowed into the stadium (along with new water distribution points), the vents that were shut last night preventing air circulation around the stadium have been removed, and giant fans have been placed all around the stage, so Twitter says.

Also, I saw a Tweet that's gained quite a lot of traction to Taylor Nation, asking them to prohibit the fire used in the Bad Blood performance as that will only increase the heat.

Pretty sure this is from Argentina

Imagine risking your life just to be closer the stage.

these people are pushing them selves to this.

they have the option to step back but prefer to endure this just be close.

when I went to see Lana in Rio my friend kept insisting she wanted to be closer to the stage and I basically had to shake her to make her understand it was dangerous.

This does not look fun at all...

I'd rather stay home than barely being able to breathe in a sweaty, smelly crowd in the sweltering heat

Yup. You’ll be downvoted for this though.

wtf??? The Mexico show did NOT look like this. There’s not an inch of space. Brazil shows might have been oversold because what is this

That's Buenos Aires. It is normal. There was enough of empty spaces everywhere but people push and push so they can get closer to the stage.

There are regulations like max capacity for concerts and stuff but people just can't behave themselves.

It’s not oversold. People just push themselves to be closer to the stage when there is plenty of room in the back.

So the fans, water tanks, water bottles are only available because Taylor and her team paid for and are providing them.

All of T4F's statements are essentially empty platitudes that are only truth because Taylor's team cares enough to follow through and make sure they occur. I genuinely hope that girl's family finds a way to sue the event planners, because this is almost certainly going to happen again.

Is it true that it's expected to be colder tomorrow with some rain?

Tonight's show is POSTPONED due to the heat.

Rio show of tonight has been postponed due to the extreme heat. She did the right thing. None of this is more important than the health and safety of the fans. Great job taylor!

Posted

She did the right thing.. should’ve been postponed since early this morning though and spare today’s concertgoers from the hell of of lining up for hours under the suffocating sun and heat.
