Soooooo..... I am not a really a fan of hers (you guys are very rude to my fave), more of a casual listener but I kid you not, I got excited reading the previous page, with all the easter eggs and stuff like I am so into that sh*t, and this fandom really gets fed that, now I want her to announce 1989 like she has to right? 

 

Then, Speak Now... i listened to it cause I had never paid attention to it, and I was kinda gagged ????

 

Then, that Heartsopper scene where "seven" played, whew I went back to listen to folklore and remembered what a great album it was.

And the best/worst part...  I actually got selected for the Ticketmaster sale for next year's dates Now I am like, I have to buy the tickets... I cannot waste that spot

All I can say is when you learn to enjoy the music of an artist and ignore the few annoying people who like to use that artist to tear down others, your joy increases exponentially. Not only are you now open to hearing music that you actually like a lot, but you also get to have actual sincere and kind interactions with the majority of the artist’s fanbase, which you tend to find are actually super cool, nice, and authentic to talk to.

Honestly, you are right. For some reason I've had this chip against swifties that has prevented me to fully embrace Taylor but like you said, her fans are a separate entity and I should learn to appreciate her music without considering external factors.

 

Besides, do I really want to miss the opportunity of attending the highest grossing tour of all time?! I just hope she removes ME! from the setlist

Even with it, that is insane. Also scalpers I guess. I know some scalpers can have hundreds of accounts per person. Honestly for any tour that is bigger these days with scalping so prevalent and with such little mitigation live music is basically screwed for more mainstream/bigger artists unless you want to sell a kidney, go into debt, or get very randomly lucky. As much as it sucks I think they really need to consider doing no refunds or exchanges. And no physical tickets to avoid physical scalping and locked to one device you designate at time of purchase if you're buying for another person. It is strict and has problems all on its own but scalping is out of hand

i made my mom a ticketmaster account i could use like, a day or two before the codes got sent out, and SHE got selected, while my account got waitlisted  i ended up getting the ticket anyway so im happy!

Some of the biggest pop girls tours in history had a total capacity of 1.5-3 Million tickets to please global fan demand. And here is Taylor who could sell up to 10 Million tickets yet people all around the world would complain they did not get tickets despite all family and friends tried to help or Taylor is not traveling to their countries. Absolutely insane how Taylor is in demand right now.
