gustavothehuman Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 (edited) It's cool that she is doing a lot of dates but the lack of pauses between shows worries me, Coldplay's calendar is specifically designed to avoid those consecutive runs. The youngest band member is 11 years older than her, but still. Edited June 25, 2023 by gustavothehuman
IBeMe Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 (edited) How is she gonna do this? March 2 Singapore Singapore National Stadium — — March 3 March 4 March 7 March 8 March 9 May 8 Nanterre[d] France Paris La Défense Arena — — — May 9 May 10 That's intense and no break.... EDIT: OOPS nevermind! that's May...not March LOOOL the fact she has all of April empty kinda makes me think she may add more Asian dates. I know its prob cuz the logistics to move the stage and stuff form Singapore to Europe is timely and tough but I think she may actually do some Phillipines shows. She prob wont do Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia cuz they are too close to Singapore geographically and those ppl will prob travel to Singapore for the shows whereas the Phillipines is a little further than them to Singapore and I feel like Pinoy fans are a little more financially in a tough situation compared to Malay and Thai fans...it would be amazing if she gave them like a mini residency since the Filipino fans are DIE HARDS. I want them to have their Come to Brazil moment Edited June 25, 2023 by IBeMe

Mmmmm there's a 3 day break between the last 3 Singapore shows and the shows in France will be in may, 2 months after the Singapore ones.

TheDreamer Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 She needs to add another date in Melbourne too because chile, everyone in Australia and New Zealand will be fighting

I want them to have their Come to Brazil moment Highly unlikely that she will announce additional dates anywhere in Southeast Asia other than Singapore. The Singapore Government very likely negotiated for Singapore to be an exclusive stop in Southeast Asia and the tour is also being marketed as such. Edit: Also, some people have been saying that the gap in April could be because she's doing Coachella which happens to fall in April. Edited June 25, 2023 by CatchIt
gustavothehuman Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 The third Paris date was removed from her website
CatchIt Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 It's crazy that Singapore was the only SEA stop for the 1989 World Tour as well and back then she only performed 2 shows for 17k fans. And many considered 1989 to be her peak. And yet 8 years later, she's performing to over 300k fans (which is more than the attendance for Singapore's 3 day F1 weekend). It's quite clear 80% of the crowd are going to be hype buyers and not actual fans.

I want them to have their Come to Brazil moment Phillipines has no venue that is remotely suitable for this tour elsewise they would have gotten six dates . I think any new locations are pretty unlikely since she released merch with all the new locations. Dates are negotiated months if not more in advance of the announcement so there isn’t gong to be last minute locations announced. I hope she adds even more Singapore dates as Singapore is a big airplane hub so a lot of sea can go to those dates.
Beyonnaise Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 I think there will definitely be at least one more London date, on either the first or second set of shows (there’s opportunities for both.)

byzantium Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 So did she break the record for woman with the most stadium dates in one city for a tour?

I was told by atrl that the only people who spend money on taylor are her stans, and the gp has zero interest in her. Did they lie?
Bonicap Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 So she added a third Paris date and then deleted it? I hope she did it because she wants to announce more European dates at the same time. She could do 2 or 3 dates in every city.

I think she is the first female artist to play 4 nights at Wembley stadium for one tour. She will also break the record for highest attendance for Melbourne. Madonna played 3 dates in 93 but it only held about 50,000 then. Now it holds 100,000 and will be her biggest ever show. If she adds 2 more dates, she could break the record for most dates too.
johnny_9ss Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 This has to end up becoming the highest grossing tour of all time, right?
fridayteenage Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 (edited) The most concerts she's had in Asia on a tour was only 7. If she gets another 3, she'll get to 13. Let's go. Checked Tokyo Dome's website; there's nothing scheduled from 1/9-2/6 at this time. Edited June 25, 2023 by fridayteenage
cat1867 Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 3 minutes ago, johnny_9ss said: This has to end up becoming the highest grossing tour of all time, right? It depends on how much she charges for her tickets. Elton John's five year long tour grossed more 900 million. Taylor's gross outside the USA seems like its to be significantly below her American average so there is chance she doesn't break his record. Althrough if she adds the amount of dates I think she will, I think she will break it.

I think Europe is a bit of a mess with most people registering for multiple dates. I think she might want to announce additional dates after the first sales are over to ensure she adds the correct amount in the best locations. But they might have better data that would allow them to add dates sooner.
