It is definitely a track that is more suited for mid-to late spring/summer but let's not act like that the release time was the only culprit. It's pretty mediocre, is seen as a CSTF rehash by many and, hate to say it, but a bit too generic without that edge. I'd say it is also too cookie-cutter for her slightly () older main demographic. A shame, since the visuals were on point.

This wouldn’t of reached #1 across the world if released earlier in the year BUT I do genuinely think it would’ve/would be performed/performing better than it did/currently is.

 

However, that being said, I fully expect her to bring on some worldwide promo in the new year. I think she knew going all in with promo before 2023 would be a waste with Christmas obviously dominating at this time of year.
