The tribute performance gave exactly what Pink should be doin for this era: mature - but still fashionable - styling and songs that show off her great skills as a vocalist, especially her range and tone. Honestly she needed a kind of Kelly Clarkson around “Meaning of Life” adult contemporary revamp with more R&B, ballads, acoustic numbers, some rock tracks etc This song flopping even in markets she usually dominates tells us this didn’t take off with her main core audience. It tried to chase a bit of that tiktok clout, but without pulling the work needed to go viral. Pink should focus on the people that grew up with her music. This felt like viral/gen z bait

If she did that people would have a field day calling her stuck on AC radio and doing the same thing over and over. At least this time they can't say she's repeating herself.

It's been over since release day lol, we're just praying for the tour to do well enough in the US now.

I think it's her label who's trying to make her chase that TikTok clout - which isn't too farfetched going by recent statements by other musicians. At the same time she did say so herself that people will label this as cheesy and predictable, but she just wanted to do a song like this.

For those of us who aren't too crazy about the song, the flop is a good thing, actually. But too bad, her album is already in print, so there's no way they can/will scrap the album if it's full of songs like this.

My definite lead single ranking:

1. So What (by far the most iconic P!nk single that is justified to stay at #1 as it was perfectly promoted with just everyone from old to young knowing the lyrics, her Single Ladies)

2. Get The Party Started (that one single that had make it or break it for her after the huge success of Lady Marmalade, best way to promote a new album and introduce yourself to the world really)

3. There You Go (her R&B antics are truly missed and looking back at it it still feels more phresh than current R&B stuff that is around, surprise us P!nk)

4. Blow Me (One Last Kiss) (I remember how I steadily had it on repeat when it came out. Sadly they went for the black and white video version for the promotion of the song)

5. Raise Your Glass (Impressive that it even hit #1 despite its repetitiveness. That‘s the So What formula, but not bad for a Greatest Hits single)

6. Trouble (P!nk did nothing but go full than go home and it shows by her winning that Grammy, those wild times will never come again I fear. Even if the song flopped on the American market it‘s essential P!nk)

7. Stupid Girls (Way to let your anger out girl. Though I would have preferred U + Ur Hand as the lead single. Who knew how things would have turned out?)

8. What About Us (P!nk keeping it serious for once and it was a nice twist from her usual lead singles. It became a hit after all though P!nk should have used a lot more performance slots earlier)

9. Never Gonna Not Dance Again (The abysmal chart performance of the song just shows that such songs stuck in the last decade better stay in that decade. Leave those to Justin, Bruno or Pharrell sis)

10. All I Know So Far (It‘s the lyrics that are kinda off for me but one of the best videos of her career like dammit, should have saved that budget for a better song then)

11. Walk Me Home (This might be a stomper of all sorts but still coming from that era full of fillers. Hey Why would have been my option for a lead single. It would have contained There You Go‘s sassy swagger despite it being just a pop song)

Probably mid-late January.

I know that we haven't had big expectations when it comes to streaming. However, her team 100% not putting any effort to is definitely surprising to me.

how do you guys find the individual streams of the country.

Gosh I tried to rank them but can't. (How do you decide? Lyrics, accompanying videos, other tracks that could've been choosen from the album as lead, etc etc...) Blow Me and NGNDA are dead last though - despise the former, kinda indifferent about the latter because it's just... average and uninspired. Trouble, So What and Stupid Girls are top tier - esp if we take the MVs into account. Party is great, but I like Pill better etc. RYG is so nostalgic to me. What About Us both has a great message and a beat that was not so similar to her last effort and it somehow felt 'current'. I sort of like Walk Me Home.

I'll lay down and die
I'll scream and I'll cry
You know that I'm starting a fight (fight)
I'll lay down and die
I'll scream and I'll cry
We've already wasted enough time
We've already wasted enough time

the fact that this bridge came out of the girl who wrote this excellence:

Now it's him but it could've been you
Tell me why it's him when it should've been you
It's crazy how this makes you wanna change

Here's an image you won't forget
All your life I'll tease, I'll torment
I'll be gone as soon as you turn the page

"We've aleady waste enough time" hits home, I like NGNDA's lyrics. It's a completely different animal from WDTBG, the later is a lot more somber and dark. NGNDA is fun and light.

I get it that a lot of people may hate it, but I fully stand by it. I loved it from the first listen and still do!

I'm just thankful that a this point in her carreer she still delivers herself to a 100%. The thing is that her 100% comes from an utterly different place than before. She's older, wiser, and happier; let her be :hippo:
