I remember there were a few threads comparing their success back in late 2021 after Still over it was released. I didnt even notice she wasnt here But to be fair, she only has one album. Wap, Up and Hot **** aint bringing in enough recurrent streams I guess
Armani? Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Lizzo not here either nnn About Damn Time wasnt enough
Both Sides Now Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 -Billie is actually stabilised quite well -Beyoncé has incredible longevity in the US -Rihanna is also a beast -Ariana has fallen a bit this year. It tracks with a general trend in her streams not stomping as hard as they used. I wonder how her next LP will do. -Megan has taken a bit of a tumble. Hopefully a new label deal will breath some life into her career -Katy, Lana and Gaga all doing very similarly is really surprising
Rev8 Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Surprised BB isn't 1# with the amount of streams he has
Yuanyu Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 50 years old Eminem at #11 without an album, king

onewillowsilk Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Drake was the #1 most streamed artist in the US in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, (#2 behind Post Malone in 2019), 2020, 2021 and now 2022. The most consumed artist in the US, I fear

I'm actually surprised that Drake is that far ahead at #1 with how Honestly Nevermind flopped. Must be his catalog and residuals from CLB. That isn't happening lol. Drake is pulling an average of 150M US streams per week. Taylor will get a boost the week Midnights drops and maybe she pulls north of 400M US streams that week but she'll crash the following week and Drake will still maintain a healthy lead over her by the end of the year. You said it yourself. Honestly, Nevermind wasn't a monster album and he's still that far ahead. That tells you all you need to know about his catalog/recurrent streaming numbers.
Gerardo Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Dua being on par with Katy, Lana and Gaga when she had the most successful song of last year it’s kinda surprising it’ll be a hard task for anyone to surpass Drake this year and the rest of this decade, he’s massive

Shaner69 Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Do people not realize these are total streams from each artists catalogues. Some artists have one or two albums of material while others have like 10 or more. Obviously if you have out more songs/ albums your going to have an advantage.

Gov Hooka Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 Is this global or US only? I’m confused. Dua Lipa is VERY low

According to your theory, it is curious that the list is not headed by legacy artists
