This might be her best album  bop after bop and completely packed with hooks. Love that's she's not taking herself too seriously but it still sounds like classic Ellie. It's like a more "Ellie" Delirium + cohesion

The songs kind of start to blend together as there isn’t much variety in the production but there are nothing but bops here  Love Goes On is a 10/10

I feel like the biggest critique I see of the album is that it blends too well together and it's too sonically similar.

 

I have to agree.

 

Also some songs are very repetitive like like a savior, easy lover, how long etc and they could all benefit from being cut short.

 

But it's still a 9/10 record for me. The -1 for the flaws.

 

Final ranking: Halcyon > Delirium > Lights > Higher Than Heaven = Brightest Blue

Great pop album. My favorite track of the ones that weren't released is Temptation with Tastes Like You & Intuition not far behind. Perfect album for the summer on the whole!

It's like perfected manufactured pop music with the most sugary & catchy melodies. It's also got your deep cuts & melancholy side.

 

The bridges of Delirium are INSANE. Scream It Out, Holding On For Life, On My Mind, etc. Like literally every song.

 

I'm gonna get a lot of flack for this, but Delirium is one of my fave albums of ALL TIME. I never get tired of it. Ever.

I actually really enjoy Delirium too! But this is a much stronger album imo. Even How Long, while I would say is the IDWIL of this album, isn’t nearly as atrocious as that.
