She signed like 500 people yesterday and 500 two days ago.

 

That's like 1000 copies minimum sold cause some people bought like 3 copies or more etc.

Higher Than Heaven is definitely easier to listen & get into than Brightest Blue. But I wonder if it'll sound just as strong in time or if the song will get generic very fast the more I listen to them. But definitely happy she decided to make fun pop songs. 

 

Regardless, can't wait to hear and see her finally live later this year after that cancelled Brightest Blue tour.

Tastes Like You ESPECIALLY is the strongest pop song of this entire year by a long shot. In fact it might rival Love Me Like You Do as one of her greatest songs ever / one of the best pop songs of this century

I’ve had the album on repeat all day but on shuffle so the three-peat that have been having me in stitches today are Let It Die-Just For You-Better Man. Whew. Pop perfection from every corner.

 

By the way, this is coming from someone who has only casually listened to Ellie throughout her career and only really enjoy Halcyon as an album. I had no expectation going into this album either.

Better Man is the best song in the album. The production slaps. Such a shame she’s selling the vinyl for $40, because that’s a crazy price tag for a single LP, and the standard version at that. I know that it’s probably because of the production cost but  otherwise i would’ve bought it. I’ll wait for the inevitable discount, or anniversary re release in the future

I feel like there’s quite a few songs that feel like Ellie is doing her best Tove Lo impersonation and I’m not mad about it. 

 

That said it’s still mixed with Ellie’s personality and dance sound so it’s still very her, but I literally expected the writing credits to have Tove throughout them  

 

A really solid 7.5/10 dance record so far. It’s generic, but not in the Diamonds and Dancefloors hot for two weeks way.
