The entire point of representation is normalization and these are all lovely couples! GLAAD actually counts how many of the regular and recurring characters on TV and streaming are LGBTQ, and this year we hit a new high, 11.9%! https://www.glaad.org/blog/glaads-2021-2022-where-we-are-tv-report-lgbtq-representation-reaches-new-record-highs Certainly Netflix and HBO Max are heading to a point where literally every new show has queer representation.

RunUpDoneUp Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 I used to love Lindsay and Melanie on Queer as Folk but they ruined them. Haven't loved a gay couple since.

I want to know why Rings of power doesn't have any. If they went so hard for being inclusive in other aspects, they should have done this too.

And those kinda corporations tend to be more conservative anyway. Same with Disney. But even they are gonna change with time, I hope. Edited October 14, 2022 by anti-bitch

Aww! I only just discovered them a few days before making this thread, lol. It's a bit shitty how they wrote Dylan out of the series by making him go to Switzerland to play hockey. And they didn't even show him leaving really. And overall they coulda had so much "Darco" content. The guy who played Dylan, John Bregar, actually auditioned for Queer as Folk first but didn't get the part.
