anti-bitch Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 (edited) For me, there was this cute couple, Marco and Dylan, in Degrassi: The Next Generation. From S3 to S7. This tribute video makes my heart flutter tbh, lol. Especially Dylan, the taller one, is so charming I think. Edited October 20, 2022 by anti-bitch
anti-bitch Posted October 13, 2022 Author Posted October 13, 2022 But yeah, what's your fave couple? Could be from the streaming sites too, ofc.
Raver Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Oliver & Kyle from one life to live Never saw the actual show but was recommended a YouTube video of scenes with just them two and got hooked on it

I feel like we've all gone through that Youtube gay couples phase
Poxy Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 I’ve always had a soft spot for the soap opera gays myself As the world turns and days of our lives both had cute couples. ATWT especially impactful for me because it was the first instance of a gay couple I had seen on TV
anti-bitch Posted October 13, 2022 Author Posted October 13, 2022 (edited) ^^ @Johnny Jacobs Skam really started this new age of gay/liberal shows in 2016/2017. Streaming is leading the way with LGBTQ content now. Edited October 13, 2022 by anti-bitch

For real... the influence of Skam in amazing shows like Young Royals and Prisma is clear, and then there's the many, MANY iterations of Skam itself. A revolutionary show, tbh.

Which is crazy considering it's a show about competing fashion houses. But I guess that's conservative TV for you. But yeah, those 2000's soap couples were touching.

Uncatena Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Josh and Arnold from Please Like Me. They are realistic, flawed human beings.
The7thStranger Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Shaun and Zack from Shelter, one of the few truly great LGBT movies.

In time I just know theres going to be a critical point where almost every show will have a gay couple and we will love it and itll be lovely! The entire point of representation is normalization and these are all lovely couples!
Blade Runner Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 (edited) Maybe it's too new, but definitely Nick and Charlie from Hearstopper. So freaking sweet and pure. Also Russell and Glen from Weekend. Edited October 13, 2022 by Blade Runner

touch Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Probably Cam and Mitchell from Modern Family. So many memories

The Next Day Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 I ship Orca and Flix from Star Wars Resistance Other than that the only LGBTQ+ couple I'm fully on board with are Alice and Robin from Once Upon A Time
