every year for Halloween there’s tons of girls that dress up in the iconic chaps and there literal visual proof every year. No one dresses like Britney’s snake look

The other day dirty came on and the group i was with all asked to have turned the radio down and said their ears hurt  when i said it's Xtina's best song everyone looked at me and no one even knew her name  It was super awkward

The Dirrty music video look is iconic, but not as iconic as the snake look from the VMAs performance. Especially, if we want to argue “outside of pop culture”. You are definitely more likely to have random people recognize the picture of Britney with the snake wrapped around her neck than Christina in her Dirrty outfit. However, both are very iconic moments in pop history.
